A small but significant update has just been released for https://grouped-notes.dtonon.com, the feed now should be faster and more robust, without any missing profiles.

Working on https://fevela.me, https://nstart.me, https://njump.me, https://oracolo.me and other inspiring nostr projects. I love to build helpful things that people are pleased to use, mixing tech, design, usability and accessibility.
I'm wondering, could it make sense to have a tag that requires clients to disable comments for a note/article? Perhaps with a time indication, so the author can also set the deactivation in the future.
Content creators like this sort of feature.
Many people just want to share some content but they don't like to see it attached to random opinions, or don't like to be forced to interact with questions in the comments.
It also avoids spam on very old content.
It can be useful paired with some specific articles or pinned events in the profile as well: I can pin an article (so I can edit it) about my last activities, that points to other events, but disable the comment in this "index" since I will update it over time, so users are forced to comment on the target resources.
I know, it's not a priority at all, but it's easy to integrate and it doesn't break anything.
I think you will love this #groupednotes update:
A) Pin (fix at the top) and bury (move to bottom) contacts, to don't miss any important update, and slow down noisy profiles
B) Filter out notes with specific words, useful to temporary clean up your feed from uninteresting/excessive content
C) Filter out too short notes, that contain only one word, emoji or are shorter than 10 chars, to clean up fast and useless replies
D) Reposted notes now have the author in the preview, so you can easily spot the source before opening them
With this update, I think that I fulfilled my initial idea of a different UI/UX for browswing a social feed, more effective and respectful of user's attention and time.
Now it's time to refactor a little the messy code, and open a PR for @Cody

@Cody why did you decide to set the single column as default?

The postcard shows a Venetian “squero,” where gondolas are built.
This specifically is San Trovaso squero.
Today, after 125 years, it is not much different, and it is still operational:
Venezia is pure magic!
