I LOVE the “art nouveau” (1890-1910) and “art deco” (1920’s) styles of architecture and decor. The first image is clearly art nouveau. Then I thought “Oh my god, when did the United States go full in on the fiat standard? 1913!” My two favorite architecture styles for the last 40 years are prime examples of the last vestiges of hard money.
