« Notary « style bookcase were in « vogue « in the early XX century. Generally the leads are thin and are well crafted . This « leaded « glass panel isn’t original, zinc instead of lead was used and the panel was installed in a… precarious manner. A full restoration was not financially possible so the work had to be optimal. Our work as Artisans is often one of humility . The Past is preserved in order to highlight the future. A Past that we desperately try to protect .

Circa 1900 windows . When money was Money, the wealthy “sociétés” and builders were proud to use high quality materials. Hence simple but exquisite Stained glass and well crafted windows . Oak. This is the Way. I do meet extraordinary architects/designers that Understand the concept of Artisan/Craftmanship and do try to educated the Wealthy.
My goal is to convince the Plebe to restore instead of being scammed by the fake new narrative : New is better . Old is bad .
