I looked into this further and I think it was already a copypasta Digit was copying, not something she originally typed. That makes me feel a bit better. They definitely spammed it constantly in wallstreetbets to mock her after that, which still hurts to see, but at least she was also using self deprecating humor and not legit trauma dumping. Theory: sometimes actors can't put in as much emotion as they could in the old days, because in the internet age, every actor has heard the term "over-acting" too many times, and they're worried about it being said about them. Even the best actors of the younger generation suffer from this.

Spider-Man doesn't always do the right thing. What he always does is try to protect people and help people, which is so close to always doing the right thing, it's hard to tell the difference. The core of nostr's filter trap is simple: You probably don't know anyone irl on nostr, so if you just start posting without replying to others, you have no followers. Your posts go into a void. If you look for other people's posts to reply and make yourself known, everyone's just constantly spamming ideological bullshit. If you call them out for that, you start getting muted and filtered. If you're too nice to call them out for it, you'll just focus on being nice to people you like, and the horde will notice you being nice to people they hate, so you still start getting muted and filtered. People can sense this a mile away, but they're not smart enough to coordinate against it so far. You can ask people to join nostr to back you up against the horde, but they won't really do it, they just think it's pointless. This is how nostr blocks change and forces the shitty culture to continue.
