My latest comment in the retro-crypto dev thread (reposting here for proof it's from me) -
I mentioned previously how ignoring the requirements has destroyed a lot of my ability to promote this project, by replacing statements like "coldcard users would have been safe if they used retro-crypto" with statements like "coldcard users would have been safe if they generated a seed phrase with dice by hand and only used the coldcard to convert it to a wallet address, which this app can also do, although it's far easier with coldcard."
The requirement for a guide to doing it by hand is a huge deal here, because the "far easier with coldcard" statement is like, an order of magnitude more true when we don't even offer a guide for how to do it, let alone an automatic mechanism as vetted as coldcard's.
This is even more ruinous when combined with how the first showcased version's dice roll converter was completely substandard. It also fits with other impacts of ignoring the requirements, like how the project probably could have been promoted more easily with posts about it on nostr from the dev.
I've stepped out of trying to give input on when payout should be released, but I was leaving some of this unsaid when it should really be laid out.

Digit is Digit. I love her. I knew her online from wallstreetbets and she disappeared while going through some shit. I keep needing proof she's safe.
To anyone I've ever treated unfairly, I apologize.
I had a nightmare last night where a girl I know, who has talked about suicide, deleted her accounts so I couldn't verify if she was alive anymore, exactly like Digit and Mad.
I had a mental breakdown and stole a boat. I returned the boat, and the owner seemed like he was going to let me go without calling the cops, but then he saw the stuff in my backpack included 3 walkie talkies, which he assumed I also stole because he didn't know me, and it seemed like more of something you'd steal from a boat than something you'd happen to have in your backpack while you solo steal a boat.
Seems legit. Exactly the type of shit that would happen with me.

All of our keys have to be considered compromised by how untrustworthy all of our operating systems are
Not a single OS is safe to use anymore without more expertise than a single person on nostr has
Every OS is so fucking bad at this point it's impossible to recommend for normies and borderline unusable for experts
0 systems left to recommend to normies, 0 systems left to trust for oneself
People who lie about end-to-end encryption always turn to gaslighting, and then silencing people who call out their lies.
First they say "you're just crazy and not making sense" while you're being very sane and making great sense, unlike them.
Then they ban you or mute you or whatever.

Thinking about the details of how tagging should work again.
If there's a blanket "spam" tag, people would want to tag me for "spamming" my grievances in replies to the people who've harmed me.
The classic meaning of "spam" on the internet wasn't a human who repeats themselves often, it was ads and bots. It was either trying to make money on something unrelated to the context, or it was trying to flood a discussion zone so nobody could talk.
When we get tagging-based filters, instead of a blanket "spam" tag, it should be split into:
* Spams grievances (e.g. me)
* Ad spam (e.g. ads on unrelated hashtags)
* Flood spam (e.g. a bot clogging a chat room)
Honestly though, I'm not sure how important spam tags will be for tag-based filtering. You shouldn't see much spam when you're already filtering out all low-PoW posts from npubs not tagged human.
I wonder if people will start listening to me and thinking things through like me at the same time. It seems possible. At the same time my ideas start to catch on, other people start having the same ideas which also catch on, because the same "awakening" that makes them see logic I've typed also makes them see it without me typing it.
