People complain that Anders Breivik in Norway gets a comfy prison cell, fine, I agree it doesn't seem great to let him have that, but are you saying you want to be the one deciding who gets the death penalty or the hellhole instead of the comfy cell? Fuck that, it's not fun having people's fates in your hand like that, you shouldn't think it is. People will always disagree on what criminal deserves a comfy cell and what one deserves death. The wise solution is to make the system blind to all that, with no hellhole or death penalty for anyone. But the indigenous people in Australia want the death penalty for a guy that allegedly raped and murdered a 5 year old, not because they think it's fun to have people's fates in their hands, but because they're tired of their own fates being in the hands of courtroom people. They have their own traditions of justice they can probably follow, without it devolving into conflict and nonsense, if it weren't for the courtroom people interfering. I'm against courtroom people pretending to be better than indigenous people, more than I'm against the death penalty, at least sometimes.

I used to be a doordash driver with a big red cooler in the back of my car to keep food hot. Doordash doesn't care, they didn't require that, I bought it myself and let it permanently use up half the back seat area because I didn't want people getting cold food. Also, whenever doordash stole money from me and refused to pay me back, I stole food, so doordash would either have to pay in cash to replace the customer's food, or pay in customer reputation to have yet another customer angry about their money being stolen. Never got fired btw. And of course a lot of fools blame drivers who steal food, instead of blaming the corporate executives that steal money. As if I just didn't even care about customers enough to drive around with a big red cooler
