It's extra painful when people complain about nostr's spam issues and stuff as a reason not to use it - because I feel like the more users we get, the easier it will get to manage spam. It's too easy for stuff to flood nostr when it's tiny

When I checked reddit today, I had yet another reply from someone complaining that I shouldn't promote nostr because you can't ban people who post CSAM if there are no bans. Also remember, the other day when I tried to put an ad for asknostr.site on reddit, they rejected the payment with no error message. I'm concerned even if I can get them to accept the payment by trying again, they'll end up banning me and refusing to refund the money and I'll just be a bigger target in a coming crackdown on nostr by the authorities. Reminder: nostr is my main social media. I don't have real life friends, have been banned from facebook for years. Banned from many places. When I post stuff from other places here, it's just to help nostr have more stuff. Nostr is the only thing where I always check notifications as many times a day as I can

Obama was half black, but still sold out and took the money to help brutalize black people and stoke up racism. Kat Abughazaleh is half Palestinian. She seems more trustworthy than Obama, but I still worry she might sell out and take money to help brutalize Palestinians.

Reminder: someone "identifying as a cop" doesn't make it safe to let them into your home. You can still shoot them for unlawful entry. I post this reminder months after an elected official and her husband and her dog were killed by some chud claiming to be a cop.
