Daiya Fortuna had her 2.0 debut. It was nice to see what her new design was going to turnout after all the teasers. I much prefer her version 1.0 design. There's beauty in its simplicity, and I really like the artist, but I know how much she wanted it to be scary. I'm glad she has a design that she's happy with. #DaiyaFortuna #Vtuber

It's crazy Genndy Tartakovsky has to restore to posting this test animation only line to get Sony Pictures Animation to greenlight movie. The bit of details he revealed so far, an adult animation about knight controlling a 20 foot tall suit of armor combined with this footage should be an instant buy. However I do sorta understand why the execs are cautious because I think the last American mecha movie was Pacific Rim Uprising (?) and that didn't do well at the box office. Still hope The Black Knight sees the light of day theatrically instead of being locked away in Netflix Hell! #Filmstr

Despite a rocky start with the dub script being less crude than before and the iconic "Repent, motherfucker!" line not appearing until late in the show, Panty and Stocking Season 2 was overall a fun time. I'm glad there was an additional scene for the ending because of after all this time they would give us almost the same "Demon's Payback" cliffhanger like season 1 I would have been underwhelmed. Well more underwhelmed since the final fight didn't have a big spectacle like summoning Panty and Stocking 's mom. Thankfully it looks season 3 would be a huge shake with Junior and Bastard to keep this fresh. #NewPSG #Animestr

Part 1 of the story is over and it was a pretty surprising ending. It's a joke that with Mochizuki's presence the series turns into a horror romcom but the ending did solidified it as Thriller adjacent without how her plan succeeded int the end. Mochizuki looks like she's going to be the overt antagonist in part 2 similar to the Guidance Counselor. Not that I have a problem with that since she's my favorite character but I'm wondering how Shinji is going to fight back since she seems to be the hand controlling the board. #Mangastr

Full launch roster for Gekishin Squadra is out. There's a good mixture of unique characters that I honestly didn't really expect for them do but I'm glad. However: I'm sad there's no Dragon Ball representation at launch. Bulma, Pilaf Android 8, anyone from that period would have been great since there's a ton of wacky attacks used during then. Also surprised there's no Original Character in this game. After Gohan Black, Bonyu, Android 21, Giblet, Zaha and Shallot I would have expected Squadra to also introduce someone new. #Gamestr

Weapons was pretty good. A pretty good slow burn horror. That ending man. It's nice to have a laugh that good to relive all the tension from the movie for a happy ending. There are some weird plot that doesn't really make sense to me but those would be just nitpicks of anything. Nothing major that would bring the film down for me. #Filmstr

Man what an incredible episode. Between the cinematography and a really strong story hook, this is going to be a great show. Baku's character is really easy to connect with. "My dreams are my own!" I can see why Toei picked this for a simultaneously release. It very much felt like an opening to a first episode to a CW action show. Wonder since the story seems to take place in the world of dreams, I wonder how long until Daydream fights gets explored? The ZEZTZ suit looks phenomenal in action. Pretty exciting to live in a time where we're getting an official English stream for Kamen Rider Zeztz. Judging by the information with the announcement this seems to be a license for the Tokushoutsu TV channel. No stream archive and set replay times. It's kinda of a throwback to the pre streaming era which does give me more of a reason to watch the Tokushoutsu channel. I'm pretty excited for this 😅. It's been a while since House of the Dragon season 2 , so no other show has really gave me the urge to pursue it as Appointment TV but for Zeztz I'll definitely try to keep my schedule clear for it. #Tokustr (?)

I managed to get a copy of limited edition Young Magazine USA. There were surprisingly few left so I'm glad I didn't wait until later to go get it 😅. Now that I got my hands on it, man! The feeling of flipping through a manga magazine takes me back. It really doesn't compare checking Manga Plus on Sundays to read Weekly Shonen Jump. Guess it's my age showing but I rather get something physical to read that just looking on my phone. Hopefully Kodansha continues to release them. #Mangastr

This is probably the weakest Gamescom Opening Night Live. The selection of games trailers just felt sort of the same with nothing really internet breaking as Geoff hyped it to be. It was nice to get updates on Silent Hill F , Yotei and Resident Evil but the rest of the show felt like a slog to watch. These were the games that peaked my interest enough to write them down to remember to purchase. Honorable mention to LEGO Batman looking cool but I think I've played enough Batman games that I'm taking a sabbatical from them. #Gamescom2025

Another great batch of chapters for Black Clover. I was a bit worried after the last batch where it kinda felt like the arc was going to be extended for more plot development but gladly that's not the case. You really get a sense of finality with these chapters that's has been sorely missing since judgement day started. This is a clear telegraph that "Yes the series is ending soon. Get ready to go out with a bang!" Now there's just dealing with Adramelch size plot thread and then it's smooth sailing until the crowning of the next Wizard king. Which might be another problem because as of right now I don't know why the citizens of Clover would pick Asta over Yuno. #Mangastr

The next Kai-Sei book is out and it's kinda of a slower paced series. While Godzilla feels like a summer blockbuster with the action packed American G-Force hunting Kaijus, Deadzone invokes a survival television drama (The Kaiju of Us 😂). Traveling through a post Godzilla wasteland feels like a good idea and it could open up more world building with the G-Mutants. However the overall pacing of issue one feels like this series might be a better read through trades than monthly. I'll give it until issue 3 before I make my decision wouldn't want to act to hastily especially since issue two has the catchy tagline "Meet the church of Godzilla!" #Comicstr

Decided to rewatch Panty and Stocking before watching the new season. I'm surprised how well it still holds up. The humor feels quintessential Adult Swim. Probably because I watched it dub but since the show is inspired by American Adult Animation it just feels appropriate to watch it with English voices. Another surprising thing was the amount of 3D CG used in the show. The scenes felt so nostalgic! I wonder why this style of CG died out as it does come off jarring and naturally complements the art style. Maybe it's because it resembles PlayStation 2 cutscenes and we're long past that 🤔.
