Here's a key to a happy connected marriage that I realize not everyone is aware is possible:
If I ever find myself getting caught on thinking negatively about my husband or thinking how I could have responded after an uncomfortable conversation with my husband, I say "No", because I refuse to engage in those thoughts.
If there is something I actually need to bring up, I've probably already done it, or my husband caught himself and already apologized and I forgave him!
So, any such thoughts are not Gods thoughts, nor are they productive and loving thoughts, so I stop them and I choose to think about the good things, how amazing my husband is, or how grateful I am that I got him as MY husband!
