4 years ago today, I had my first date with my now husband. He is the first (and only) guy who has ever asked me on a first date. It was a Skype coffee date since I was in Sweden, and he was in Montana at the time. It lasted 7 hours. At the end, he said he had enjoyed it and asked if I was interested in a 2nd date. I said yes. A few days later, he asked if we could video chat cause he had something he wanted to talk to me about. I thought he was about to tell me that he had changed his mind and didn't want to see me anymore. He began by telling me how it hadn't been very smart or good to have a 7h long first date. It would have been better to split it into a few different dates. Then he apologized for it, and asked me to forgive him. I did. But I was still not sure what that meant, so I asked, "Do you still wanna see me?" And he seemed a little confused at my question because of course he did. But he wanted to do it really well, and didn't want to lead me in any unhealthy ways. We ended up talking almost every day, and covered all of our deal breakers and deal makers really quickly. We were intentional. We also talked to God on our own which really helped. God was apparently my wingman as He talked me up to my husband! (It's usually the other way around.) We quickly ran out of reasons not to get married, and only 68 days after our first date, we said "I do" to each other. We wanted to write a book about it from the beginning, but it took 3 years before I felt it was time. "How to prepare yourself for marriage" was finished this summer, and I really hope it helps others find their life partners. Pregnancy apparently worked out for me (pun intended 🤣) Saying yes to a date 4 years ago was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Someone recently said that marriage is hard, but I disagree. Life is hard, but doing it with my husband makes it way way better!

My husband has been wanting to try these hot honey hotdogs Safeways carries, and I've been reluctant since I don't like spice. Last time we went to the store they were out of the normal hotdogs so I gave in and we got the hot honey hotdogs. I'm glad we got them so we now know to never get them again! 😬 They're kinda weird flavored due to the honey, but they're also extremely spicy! Not for me!

Have you ever noticed how newborns will also look like they're really old at times? 😇😅🤣🤣🤣 👶👴

I wanted something dessert like today, and then I got the idea to turn English Muffins into cinnamon buns! I cut the English muffin open, then covered one side in cinnamon and brown sugar, and then I used my cheese slicer and put two slices of butter on the other half, closed them up and microwaved them until the butter was melted. Flipped them to the other side so the cinnamon-sugar would get stuck on both sides, and then enjoyed a nice sweet snack! 🤗 (I know it's not really bitcoin healthy, but sometimes I need a sweet treat 😅)

6 weeks ago, I had multiple first's. I had a seizure I got admitted to a hospital I had surgery I had a baby I got to see our baby I got to snuggle with our son I got to see my husband holding our son I saw my husband learn to swaddle our son I saw my husband change our sons diaper I saw my husband feed our son I got to try to feed our son I slept at a hospital I was hooked up to machine's and medical stuff I got IVs I had my first ever black out I became a mom And although there were a lot of strange or uncomfortable, and some painful experiences, it was still the most magical day of my life, as it turned into the birthday of our son! Every day since has been an adventure, learning new baby ques, seeing how our son learns new things, and figuring out when to sleep and how to handle our son and getting things done. It's so much fun! Becoming a mom and understanding what it's actually like when people say a woman changes when she has a baby. Other's descriptions have been about their experiences that I have not had, as I don't have any anxiety or such tendencies. But I am different. And I love it!

Our baby that used to fit in my belly may have reached the birth weight of other babies, but he would not fit in my belly anymore! His feet stick out say further than I am expecting when he stretches. Today he turned 6 weeks. I'm very glad he came 2 weeks early instead of 2 weeks late 😅

Apparently my son only seems to calm down if he's laying belly to belly with me. It's quite hard writing on my laptop in this position. 🤣

I have some admin stuff I need to do on my laptop that is due today. I've been trying to work on it for a few days, and each time I pull out my laptop and open it, our baby someone seem to know, and he starts fussing! Even if he seemed to be fast asleep seconds before! What is this?! 😬🤣🤣🤣

Our son has figured out how to grab my hair... 👶👩😅

For about how long do babies usually keep the ability to turn their heads almost more than 90 degrees to the side? It's quite impressive, and makes it a little difficult at times to see what direction to actually turn him in if the blanket has come up too high so I can't see the rest if his body 😅😬🤗

To burp a baby, it's actually about bowel movement more than patting on the back, so I was wiggling my son gently from side to side and back and forth when he let out a loud wet sounding burp. I was doing this in the dark so I quickly grabbed my phone to shine on his face when I realized it only sounded wet, but he didn't actually let anything but air out! Thank you Jesus! And well done son! 😅🤗
