The bull case

Have you all seen the chatter about myspace being rebooted? I am hearing people younger than me talking about it every day. I understand we definitely may have other matters to attend to right now, and certainly respect that. But this seems like an extremely rare time when a young demographic is putting thought into which social media they use. Nostr is so much btter than myspace was, and it would be bittersweet to try and have to explain that to the younger cohort.
"Never underestimate the human capacity for inaction" said a psychologist walking among the casts of bodies in pompei.
Vesuvius gave its warning multiple times that day.
Nostr fixes this?
How do we ensure that relays stay dumb, so that the dumb server smart client model stays intact? How do we enforce dumbness?
In running a public relay, I may be incentivized to attach all sort sof analytical components to it, as those analytics may be worth sats sometime. This is not a very technically challenging task either.
Poor client interoperability actually seems like it may be a strange type of counterbalance, keeping towers of babel from being built.

Been buulding out the nonfiction section of my physical library of books. Been finding books on niche topics that have specific info that LLMs seem to have not been trained on yet.
GM! I think content creators are a critical demographic for Linux to penetrate. This is the for the simple reason that they are the mouthpeices, and once they experience an open system, they will speak of it across a broad array of platforms and protocols. However, they are also one of the most technically demanding user bases, with the common expectation that "it should just work", otherwise they immediately lose profitibality. They prioritze the shortest path between what they want to create and creating it, just like a developer. But without the development expertise to create that environment themselves.
I'm not complaining about them. I was them, and I am just trying to define the problem so I can maybe help with it.

Just realized how fiat the phrase "Do as I say not as I do" is. Heard it from mentors a lot growing up.
Having DLC for an early access game is wack. Finish the game first.
