Freedom of speech is no longer fully expressed on Twitter or Facebook, where people can be reported, hacked, or even banned. Freedom of speech is on Nostr specifically on YakiHonne. And freedom of peer to peer exchange is on Nostr as well, especially through Mostr. We are living in a decentralized era.

CALL FOR HELP: Water, Sanitation & Hygiene Support for Flood Affected Families in Malawi Malawi has been severely hit by floods in many districts, leaving thousands of families in crisis. Homes have been washed away, communities displaced, and tragically, cholera outbreaks are rising due to unsafe water and poor sanitation conditions. We are urgently appealing for support to help affected families rebuild pit latrines, restore safe water and hygiene facilities, and provide WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) awareness to prevent further disease outbreaks. Your help no matter how small can save lives. Every contribution goes directly toward: Reconstructing family pit latrines Providing clean water and hygiene supplies Supporting affected households with WASH education Restoring dignity and safety in devastated communities Any amount is enough. Together, we can help families rebuild and protect their health. Thank you for standing with Malawi during this difficult time.

Menstrual cycle is a natural and gradual monthly process in a girl’s reproductive system that prepares the body for pregnancy. When a girl begins menstruation, she needs proper guidance at home, in school, and within the community. She must learn about her body, her health, and healthy relationships. Talking about menstruation is no longer a taboo, but a basic human right. When we break the silence around menstrual health, we give girls the knowledge and confidence they need. This is one of the most powerful ways to reduce early pregnancies, especially in rural communities across Malawi. Girl Think Initiative is committed to this mission. We are working to support girls, particularly in the T/A Kabudula area, to stay in school, avoid early pregnancies, and grow into responsible, empowered leaders. Support Girl Think Initiative in any way you can ,together we can protect the future of Malawian girls and build stronger, healthier communities.

Why Yakihonne? Yakihonne was built on nostr protocol to stop data harvesting, privacy violations. It is a solution to digital freedom, respect of human rights and ofcourse empowering communities to own their own spaces without any censorship,a company that controls their data or any moderators that can silence and delete people's accounts. Yakihonne is the new freedom of speech.

I already see a brighter future for YakiHonne in 2026. I see the future of Bitcoin as a tool that will transform girls’ and women’s empowerment programs. Through Women of Satoshi and the Girl Think Initiative, we are spreading awareness and educating communities about their human rights especially sexual and reproductive health, an area where many girls have suffered and turned into miserable women due to lack of knowledge and protection. Bitcoin is changing lives in Malawi and across the world. And we are committed to making sure women and girls are not left behind in this global transformation.

YakiHonne and other Nostr apps are the platforms young people need to freely speak about issues that truly matter to them. These are platforms that promote and protect human rights, making them ideal spaces for anyone who genuinely cares about people and their voices. They allow activists and advocates to express their opinions freely, without fear of accounts being hacked, silenced, or terminated. These are the true platforms that respect freedom of speech. We will continue to spread awareness until multitudes of people hear and experience the beauty of YakiHonne.

YakiHonne is one of the applications built on the Nostr protocol, serving as a powerful tool for realizing true freedom of speech and upholding human rights especially for those who have been silenced. It is the right platform to speak openly about gender based violence, gender equality, and broader developmental issues such as women’s empowerment, girls’ education, and access to water, sanitation, and hygiene.

Therefore Bitcoin is the only transparent and verifiable money that also preserves users' savings by strictly limiting its supply.

Bitcoin’s fixed supply of only 21 million coins and its predictable distribution protect it from the inflationary risks that affect other currencies.

Bitcoin will avoid hyperinflation that has ever happened in History due to fiat currencies that are centralized and controlled with greedy. For example in Germany in the 1920s,and then in hungary around 1940s and again in zimbambwe which led to dissolving the zimbawean dollar and instead started using other currencies, causing people to lose savings, pensions in bank accounts.

With the way things have deteriorated. starting with broken economic systems, widespread government corruption, and continuous violations of human rights it is fair to say we have found new hope in Nostr and Bitcoin. Being decentralized and censorship-resistant, they protect people’s dignity, freedom, and sovereignty. That is all we want.

In Malawi, Bitcoin initiatives by Women of Satoshi focus on building a circular economy and connecting women who have been burdened by traditional financial systems. Through these initiatives, women learn different skills by forming cooperatives, empowering them to achieve financial independence. image
