Had a blast today promoting Bitcoin in a healthy way to around 2 million spectators at the NYC Marathon 🗽⚡ Bear market? What bear market? The Bitcoin love was everywhere, with an all-time high in cheers of "Oooh, Bitcoin Runners!", "Go Bitcoin!" and my favourite, "It's that Bitcoin guy!" 🤣 Official time: 3:10:47. Proof of work! Running for Hal, raising funds for ALS ONE and ALS Network on the 50th anniversary of the five-borough course. Hal never got to finish a marathon. Let's help end ALS/MND in his memory:

On 10 January 2009, Hal Finney tweeted two words: "Running bitcoin". Hal was the first person besides Satoshi to run the software, but he was also a keen runner, training to qualify for the Boston Marathon. In May 2009 he had to drop out of the LA Marathon halfway with cramping and twitching in his muscles. That August he was diagnosed with ALS (MND). He never got to finish a marathon. This Sunday I'm running the New York City Marathon in his memory, 42.2km through all five boroughs. I'm raising money for ALS research and care with Team ALS ONE and ALS Network, home of the Hal Finney ALS Research Fund. If Hal's work means something to you, I'd be grateful for your support:
