So I made the mistake of installing Debian (13), plus accepted the lvm setup offered... Excited to finally have a HDD large enough to store ALL my stuff from every old PC in one place, get the IDE cables out and spend a week transferring everything over. Fast forward a few months and cannot continue with this unusable pile of crap any longer. Programs don't install, or run. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't even get the correct screen resolution set, not only was every app inflated but also just the tiniest amount of blur on most website text to give me physical headaches....wanna print something? You are dreaming. Try to install kubuntu over top ie. Replace Partition, like I've always done, except its not on a 'partition' or something because of the lvm nonsense so it throws an error but in the process somehow fucked the Debian install as well Luckily, and for some unknown reason, there are a couple hundred gigs unformatted now I'm going to try and use that to make a real partition with the live disk and pray that it can see the imaginary \home partition and I won't have to copy everything over again from scratch #linux 😩
