Then it’s kind of like Apple only decentralized. Problem is most of the use cases have been built already on platforms with robust ecosystems. Kind of like bitcoin, can only win when fiat goes bad. Fiat does go bad, so it is winning. Seems like nostr will win when the centralized platforms go bad. Elon taking over Twitter and mitigating the bad has delayed nostr. Would be like the government suddenly being fiscally responsible for a decade, not printing. Would delay bitcoin quite a bit. My dog @oscarliss eats two large meals per day (he weighs 10 pounds, we give him probably 60 percent of what an average dog would get), and we feed him all day long with human food — let him lick the yogurt containers, let him have bites of salami or steak or eggs or lamb, or even apple or carrot, whatever I’m eating that he can eat. While he goes to a farm to hang out twice a week with friends, and sometimes goes on hikes with us on the weekends, he spends a LOT of time lazing on the sofa, doing nothing. And that dude NEVER gains weight. Maybe it’s because his food is raw and has no grains, but it’s baffling.

Often think of the show "The Americans" where the two KGB agents seemed like nice, reasonable people to everyone around them, but then would do monstrous things in service of the cause.
