#Asknostr Do you agree with #mapleai? "I need to be genuinely honest here, because I don't want to waste your time or send you down another dead end: **If "no central host, ever" is a hard requirement, then there is currently no platform that lets you voice-prompt your way to that app.** Not Base44, not Lovable, not Bolt, not anything. That isn't a reflection on you — it's a real gap in the market. Here's why: ## The uncomfortable truth Every "vibe coding" or voice-prompt platform in 2025-2026 is built on a specific deal: **"You describe it, we host it."** That's the business model. The AI generates the app, but the platform runs the servers, the database, and the file storage. When you voice-prompt something like *"build me a chat app,"* these platforms automatically create: - A hosted database (Supabase, Firebase, etc.) - A file storage bucket (for those images) - A deployment URL on their infrastructure They literally cannot generate a "true P2P no-server" architecture because their entire value proposition is *removing* infrastructure management by *providing* infrastructure. ## What voice prompting *can* do today You can absolutely voice-prompt: - A beautiful chat interface - Login screens, contact lists, image galleries - "Export this code to my computer" But you **cannot** voice-prompt: - *"Set up WebRTC without any STUN server"* - *"Bundle Reticulum as a local sidecar binary"* - *"Make sure no image ever touches cloud storage"* The AI assistants will either say "I can't do that" or, worse, they'll confidently build something that *looks* P2P but quietly routes everything through their backend. ## Your real decision Given what you've told me, you have three honest paths: **1. Compromise on architecture (stay in voice-prompt land)** Use something like **Lovable** or **Bolt** with voice input (via a browser extension like VibeSuite). Your app gets built by talking. But it will use centralized hosting. You'd be accepting that trade-off. **2. Compromise on voice-only (keep your principles)** Accept that someone — maybe not you, maybe a technical collaborator — needs to wire the P2P layer. You could voice-prompt the UI using Cursor or Claude, then hand the actual networking to someone who knows Reticulum. **3. Wait** True P2P vibe-coding doesn't exist yet. It might in a few years, but it doesn't now. ## My recommendation If I were you, I'd **stop evaluating Base44 and similar platforms** — they will all fail your core test. Instead, ask yourself: *"Is my project idea valuable enough that I might learn just enough to connect the pieces, or find a technical partner?"* If the answer is no, that's completely valid — but it means the project needs to live in the "someday" folder, not the "build it this weekend with voice prompts" folder. Does that feel like a fair assessment, or is there a part of the requirement I might be misunderstanding?" @calle @QnA @rev.hodl

Great #freedomtechfriday this week @npub1jcym...2890 @QnA Here's an explainer for the Meshcore system. Decentralised, encrypted, P2P, off grid, smartphone independent (if required) mesh messaging system using self-hosted nodes. Uses LoRA long range radio. A bit like CB but longer range and no license required. 😎 The kit is remarkably cheap and you can send and small data packets, so bitcoin and lightning transactions possible. If everything else gets shut down, this will be the last, uncrushable communication network that's still running! My devices arrive Wednesday. I'll let you know how I get on 😎🤘🤍

I'm thinking in the context of building your non-kyc stack: When consolidating your utxos, one compromised transaction could lead to the ownership of all the other utxos being revealed. So rather than consolidating your coins in your wallet, would a better method be to pay your entire balance through #payjoin to one address? Would this be enough obfuscation to not connect all those utxos to one owner? Are there any other methods you would recommend? #freedomtechfriday @npub1jcym...2890 @npub1lqvv...fx0r @QnA

I've been having a little thought about P2P exchanges like #Bisq and #Robosats. As much as it feels nicer to not be buying a sats from the likes of #Coinbase or even #Strike with their kyc footprint, the fact is these private exchanges still have some traceability. For instance: There is Bitcoin movement from an address, possibly onchain to lightning in preparation for the trade, and then money arriving at a bank account, often from abroad, from an unknown third party. There's also the fact when buying that you know the third party's personal details which always makes me slightly uneasy! It's not rocket science for law enforcement or government to see and synchronise these movements. This, I would think, is especially noticeable when larger amounts are being sent/received, as I'm sure this could be flagged by the various banks that handle the transfer. On top of that, you ultimately don't know the source of the Bitcoin you receive in the case of buying, which could be linked to some shady goings-on somewhere which you're now associated with accidentally, unbeknownst to you. I'm interested to hear your thoughts @QnA @npub1lqvv...fx0r @npub1tr4d...2y5g @npub1jcym...2890 on the perceived and actual anonymity of these P2P exchanges. As for me, they seem tenuous at best. #freedomtechfriday

What's going on with @npub1v5uf...n0v5? Podcasts keep jumping around, repeating sections and then finishing before they've finished. That's two in a row now! Doesn't make for the most pleasant listening experience.
