SATURDAY SHARE!!! Every Saturday we invite the photographers of #nostr to come together and share our work from the week, or just all time favorites, but today we're going to change it up... Share a video of the last cool wild animal that you saw. Here's mine from yesterday; a dolphin in the local river that I go to quite often. Beautiful. Photography submission by Vincent Karcher: Fireborn This work explores the ephemeral traces left by fires. What was once intense, raging, and devastating becomes silence, ashes, and soon germination. Fire, though destructive, is also transient. This project attempts to capture this fragile temporality, where disappearance precedes rebirth. In these scorched landscapes, the ephemeral is reborn: a bud, a mushroom, a breath, a colour. Nothing lasts, not even destruction. Fireborn reveals the fragile cycle between destruction and renewal. #noicemag #photography

Photography submission by Justin Roque: "My photographic work is multifaceted, both in my approach and in the subjects I cover. I refuse to confine myself to one style. Photographing people, landscapes, or graphic details stems from the same enthusiasm and approach. I like the idea that my photos can resemble me, that they are fragments of my personality. My practice is fueled by what inspires and stimulates me and is based more on instinct than on reason or strategy. One aspect of my work consists of creating interactions between these images, arranging them, comparing them, and seeing what emerges". #noicemag #photography

Submission by Niccolo Barca: I'm a documentary photographer based in Rome. When I'm not taking pictures I'm hiking up a mountain or making music. These photos have been taken in and around projects, from Senegal to Kazakhstan, in those empty moments when you're living life to the fullest. #noicemag #photography

Submission by Olivia Burt: "Images return to us not only our likeness but our distortions: the ways we impose order, meaning, or humor where none inherently exists. The ordinary becomes uncanny, and the familiar slips toward the absurd. As May Sarton wrote, “Does anything in nature despair except man?” Unlike us, reflections do not despair or interpret, they simply return what is offered. In that return, each image reveals less about what is seen than about the peculiar projections we bring to seeing". #photography #noicemag

Congratulations to Uetsugu Kotomi for being selected as the Q4 2025 winner of the NOICE Visual Expression Awards! Her work demonstrates exactly what we at NOICE value most in photography; humour, absurdity, beauty and meticulousness in the most simple and beautiful way which we have coined the genre “Minimal Comic-Play”. Great examples of this and always refreshing to see such great work. Submissions are currently open for 2026. You have the option to submit a regular series, or opt in for a personalized portfolio review, where you will receive feedback that encourages and guides you to refining your craft. Beginner or pro, all is welcome at NOICE. #noicemag #photography

Submission by Nicolas Diego: "INNER STATES" Started eight years ago, this photographic movement created with mobile phones has no other ambition than to exist as an instinctive and free flow. I have little interest in the individual image as each picture leads me to the next one and redraws the boundaries and meaning of the whole. It's a breath in my daily life as much as a way to archive and counter certain anxieties. An aesthetic intimate notebook where my loved ones, time, and all the suns that have crossed my path mingle. There has never been any other rule than that of expression, of feeling, there will never be another. My mobile phones are brushes, black boxes. They allow me to discreetly freeze and twist the moment and put it in my pocket. #noicemag #photography

Want to make your photos more like "film"? Turn your sharpening off. Zero. Simple trick, but simplicity is always best. image

Photography by Marty Samis: "When I began this project, I thought I'd be documenting the seasonal changes that seem to take place in the Yukon over long, drawn-out periods of endless winter and brilliant summer. Ultimately, I found that the landscape I had chosen to document changed, not only seasonally, but by the hour. I chose to focus on the view from the lake where I lived at the time. There, I realized that the transformations I’d always assumed took place slowly, actually happened in measurable increments I could miss, if I looked away for too long. Ice formed and melted, altering the water from midnight to noon. In a matter of minutes, sudden winds whipped the lake’s glassy, reflective surface into frothing waves. If the sky opened up, or dark storm clouds rolled in to create a change of light, I made my way down the winding path (often running) from my house to the lake, camera in hand. Over the 20 months I spent on this project, I became more and more aware of the ever-changing light in the North. I noticed how even subtle changes elicited an entirely different mood from the landscape. I became obsessed with visiting the lake and seeing what it had to show me". #noicemag #photography

Photography by Volodya Koval: "A good photograph can be built on three pillars: light, the decisive moment, and composition. When these elements collide within a single frame, a masterpiece is born" #noicemag #photography

NOICE Visual Expression Awards submission by Kaitlin Miller: A good photograph is one that reveals what had always been there, but usually went unnoticed. It can be a passing glance between two people, otherworldly light in a familiar space, a picnic bench blending into the landscape in a way that feels unintentionally intentional. I’m drawn to the things that don’t quite fit, the moments that feel out of place, because they make you pause and look again. I like when a photograph makes the viewer wonder why it was taken in the first place, but after some consideration, the answer feels obvious. That tiny delay, the click of the shutter, is where the image lives. Photography sits somewhere between documenting the world and trusting your intuition in an instant. There’s always a bit of tension in what a picture shows and what it leaves out. The frame holds a version of truth, but never the full one, and that’s part of what makes the medium *nearly* honest. #noicemag #photography
