Alright there's validation complete! 😅 It turned out to be a little more complicated than just "Do the inputs have values?" because the form itself for adding recipes became more involved as I went. It now builds a full-on preview for her with bullet lists as she types, and she can add multiple ingredients, seasonings and steps of instructions before submitting the final form. So validation really became more about "Has she added at least one of everything yet?" than "Do the inputs have values?" All in all it was a bit more involved than I was expecting, but it works exactly how I want it to work now and I'm happy with the flow of adding a recipe. Plus with the validation buttoned up there's nothing left she'll be able to do to generate an actual Express error 🤘🏻 #WebDev #WebDevelopment #HTML #CSS #JavaScript

The screens you see when you die in #Stalker2 are also somehow amazing, and for some reason I especially like the ones that say "Torn apart by mutants" 😄 A bunch of these little bastards swarmed the area right after I finished another fight and was already almost dead. Gotta keep an eye on that health meter, I did not expect them to be the thing that killed me

No idea why it took 86 hours of playing #Stalker2 for it to occur to me to try plugging a mouse and keyboard into my #PS5, but I'm so glad it works! I don't mind using controllers, especially for 3rd person games, but I am a #PC gamer at heart and I do prefer using my actual reflexes to aim in first-person games. Well after lots and lots of playing I finally found something I don't like about #Stalker2! Accidentally pressed the button to move the entire contents of my stash box into my inventory which immediately made me ridiculously overburdened. And there's no "undo", but you can easily move everything (including the original contents of your inventory) back into the stash box by clicking the Move Everything button again. But if you want things back the way they were, your only option at that point is to move everything back one item at a time. I especially enjoyed moving all my 1000's of rounds of spare ammo back 30 rounds at a time. #Videogames #gamer #gamestr

I grabbed my 10 year old Nvidia GTX Titan X that had been overheating for some reason this morning and ended up taking it apart, taking THIS MANY screws out of it, cleaning everything, putting on some fresh thermal paste and putting it all back together, all on a whim. Remember when they used to put an "s" at the end in parentheses when they weren't sure if there was going to be more than one of something or not, like code(s) or ticket(s) or whatever? Not good enough for this chap! That's been bugging me since I was a kid and I fixed it on my wife's recipe page. If she chooses 1 cup, for example, it'll say 1 cup. But if she chooses 2 cups it'll say 2 cups (plural) automatically. And the same for the rest of the units of measure (teaspoon, tablespoon etc), if any of them have an amount > 1 they get pluralized. Also spent some time today adding the rest of the new recipe details to the show page, laying things out so it looks nice and finishing up the styling. And that is the show page 99% done and 2 more things checked off the To-do list 🤘🏻 The only thing left on the show page is to finish fixing the Like button, which is functional but just kind of jammed in there at the moment. #WebDev #WebDevelopment

Once I finish the page for my wife's recipes I'm going right into my next project which I already have well on its way. Most of the styling and layout is done, it looks nice but it's not incredibly complicated. It's also already responsive, the database is saving what I want it to save and I have authentication and authorization already working. What's left to do is the core functionality of it and I'd like to make it my first #OpenSource project, but I've never ran one of those before and I could use some advice. And I don't want to host it on GitHub because Microsoft, is there a good alternative that still uses #git? Also don't want to use VS Code anymore for the same reason. Hey while we're at it, I almost forgot I also found out recently that if you put the windows up and down incessantly like a 3 year-old would do, it eventually locks out the window controls for about a minute 😁 Someone at Honda accounted for this, in 2012 Honda Civics, anyway 😂

I've been driving this same car for a while and I just now this very moment found out (on accident) that if you double click Resume for the cruise control it sets the cruise, and now my brain is wondering why I need the Set button
