Something almost every #SciFi story gets wrong when they're talking to someone from another planet or galaxy or whatever, is time. Our measure of time comes from how fast the Earth is spinning and how long it takes for the Earth to make a trip around our Sun. People from different planets that are spinning at different speeds than Earth and that take wildly different amounts of time to go around their Suns would have no concept what we mean when we say an hour or a year, or any Earthly measure of time. Actually, I've never seen one get it right. There are planets out there that go all the way around their Sun faster than they rotate, making their days longer than their years.

Finished up Ghost of Yotei and started #Stalker2 on #PS5. I gotta say it feels SO GOOD to be back in The Zone!!!! And they did such a good job, it's amazing! Always loved the Stalker games except I didn't play the online one, but it's been too long old friend! And by 'old friend' I mean hostile environment that makes scary sounds, has freaky, mutated monsters and tries to kill me in so, so many ways. Loving the new graphical effects of the anomalies I've seen so far, some of them really are damn near invisible if you're not paying attention. And running is ill-advised in The Zone, especially when it's dark. You've been warned. I find myself actively refraining from searching the internet for answers when the solution isn't obvious for some reason. And I'm okay with it, I've walked away from a couple markers on the map without searching the internet for the solution or exact location of the thing I'm looking for, and it's somehow a little bit liberating? I'll either try to be more thorough in my searching of the area or, instead of looking on YouTube or whatever like I normally would, I'm finding I'm strangely okay with just leaving and telling myself I'll just try again later when I come across it next time. I'm going to take my time and explore and not ruin any of it by looking online Anyway, #videogames

Maybe it's just me, but these days I am totally cool with waiting a year (or even 2) to buy a game, until they've finished most of the major updates anyway. I feel like there's always some amount of time after launch for game to become the game they originally intended.
