One of my favorite things about Snorkel is the cool people we meet and customers we have. We produce a small volume of scrap. A local artist was rummaging thru the scrap bin. I gave him some better pieces and he came back with some art in exchange. He does large format murals primarily but it is nice to see him embrace the small stuff as gifts.

Four years ago I orange pilled someone. Now he’s creating custom bitcoin mining art for fun, heating a garage with s19s and stacking every week. What an epic journey!

What a week! A week ago we started on nostr with the @primal app. After an incredibly warm welcome it was apparent that nostrland was different. Small companies can make strong connections w bitcoiners and grow a passionate follower and list. Then @The Bullish ₿itcoiner opened an sats based ecommerce store and started posting updates - several times a day. He’s has already added features based on my requests and ideas. It took me 3-4 days to get a store going for a limited selection of stuff. Some of the items I posted aren’t even available on snorkel.com. Hello again Nostr! Appreciation and introduction post. Have been here 5 days now. Wow what a vibe shift from X and IG. Snorkel was founded in 1979 and is getting a modern reboot in 2025. We’re trying to get the company back to the modern world in terms of our digital presence and operation. Too many days remind me of the Hot Tub Time Machine movie (yes that was our tub) and being stuck in the 80s for tech and money. Bitcoin and nostr are both core parts of that journey - though I realize now that Snorkel is both late to nostr and massively ahead of 99% of the world.
