ever pause and think, “they are building a national AI surveillance grid with flying drone response units right now”

ive been thinking alot about the assassination of Charlie Kirk lately. in that quiet, passive listening sort of way.
ive been realizing, if this is not a simple case of a “lone gunman”, i dont think most people can handle the full ramifications of what it means, and what it reveals about the U.S.
there is a weird, out of the way, locally owned lumber yard and hardware store near me. i went in there today, and asked a bunch of questions to find out how they seem to be thriving in the era of the blackrock owned megastore.
the story i got was the local guy who founded it was a vietnam vet who intentionally chose weird, out of the way locations in rural areas, and built the business on real community serving customer service. the vibe in there is so much different than any big corporate hardware store. its filled with old dudes who can build anything and know exactly what you are talking about before you finish explaining it. and in the back of the building there is a row of offices for guys whose only job is to take calls from local general contractors so they can deliver exactly the tools and lumber they need.
standing in there you feel the automated phone tree, mega corporation, indifferent box store bullshit leaving your body
yesterday was our 15 year anniversary. i am sincerely more in love with, and like even more as a person, the woman i tricked into marrying me 15 years ago. being in a marriage with someone you like and respect is worth more than any number of sats you could stack.
finally heard more details about the messages Charlie Kirk sent directly to Benjamin Netanyahu before he was killed. holy shit the balls on that kid.
earlier, i was thinking, “ i wish there was an open document format that was more like
a protocol, where a document could be viewed on a desktop,
phone, online or offline, could handle images and video, and was easy to convert other document formats to.
then i slapped myself for letting myself be influenced by the “reinvent the wheel” crowd and remembered html.

its dawning on me that the rapid roll out of totalitarian state surveillance occurring all across the U.S. right now, is an attempt to get Gaza level surveillance in place before the armed populist uprising that they are CERTAIN is coming, happens.
because most of the paths around here were cut through blackberry growth, in August, our paths are lined with sweet berries. it feels pretty special

the “they” we all refer to would not be able to do anything if we had not abdicated our responsibilities.
but we can change that.
