If you custody funds for users (even just for shitposting), you should consider looking into Fedimint. Aside from the privacy aspect of eCash. You get technical benefit of distributing compute, keys, and LN gateways.

Welcome! Welcome to the Fedimint nostr community. Fedimint is a modular open source protocol to custody and transact bitcoin in a community context, built on a strong foundation of privacy. It is a federated Chaumian Mint owned and operated by multiple people, referred to as Guardians. It also allows users to move their funds into their own self-custody lightning wallet and is interoperable with the Lightning Network. To get started, check out the website at or the GitHub at https://learnfedimint.com is an unofficial AI agent that can answer some questions about Fedimint.

@Kieran zap.stream bug report. Playing at 2x speed gets weird when it hits live. Was catching up on RHR at 2x and it got weird before I manually slowed it down. Other players slow themselves down when they hit the live point

Question: how do you use lightning gateways to turn your federation into a decentralized liquidity provider? Fedimint Q&A Bot Lightning Gateways provide a service to the Federation users which allows them to connect with the wider Bitcoin ecosystem. The Lightning Gateway monitors the Federation for user requests to pay Lightning invoices or receive lightning payments. To send a lightning payment, the Fedimint User locks eCash notes to a contract which contains a lightning invoice. The lightning gateway can sweep the eCash notes from the contract by paying the lightning invoice. As an alternative to transacting inside the Fedimint, a user can create contracts (enforced by the Fedimint consensus) that will pay the lightning gateway persona to pay LN invoices on their behalf or generate lightning invoices to be paid. Through this process, the Federation users can use the Lightning Gateway to turn their Federation into a decentralized liquidity provider.
