Yes, I tried running an #LND, #LNDHUB, #REDIS, #ELECTRS, #BITCOIND patchwork node system to be able to implement #BTC / #Bitcoin Lightning in "self-custody" fashion. Proved too time consuming for me. Shutting down and moving on. What were the final hurdles? Inbound liquidity and oddly enough implementation of SSL certificates on a system that also includes a #nostr relay and webserver. I have discovered that not only are the systems patchwork, the documentation of each component of the system is also patchwork. For those that have conquered their own true self-bank lightning system, congratulations. For me.. I will move onto another project. I wonder how #Mithril is coming along over on #Cardano? Gen-X 👊 In the US as we grew up, we wore Moon Boots, high tops, Jams, and Z-Cavaricci pants. Swatch Watches, jelly bracelets and acid wash jeans. Drove Internationals, AMCs, Pontiacs, Mercuries, and Oldsmobiles. God bless Rockies and Ropers. We lived off "Classic Country", "Classic Rock" and Rock and Roll (of which was killed by Grunge and the internet). We watched Speedracer and Battle of the Planets on UHF and had to turn an antenna vs switching apps. And we learned ethics from a Rabbit. We didn't have cell phones or the Internet and had to learn sex education from dictionaries and encyclopedias. We actually used thesauruses and phone books for businesses and non-family members. And we shared this planet with only 4.4 Billion other knuckleheads. We knew the world before 9-11, when global warming and climate change was referred to as "greenhouse effect" and we watched Haley's Comment fly by.
