it is amazing that ledger spent millions to try and break cold card and they just assumed that no dumb ass would be inept enough to fuck up the random number generator
literally coldcard and coinkite engineering QA was the worst on the planet.
god damn we were all fooled on their marketing. myself included
low entropy collisions. people were generating the same wallet.

unless your passphrase is 128bits, your seed and passphrase will be stolen as well.
all of these coldcard movements are causing tons of coinjoin datasets to be reduced. the only private way forward is lightning. coinjoin was a fun experiment but all of this new movement is reducing anonymity sets by a lot.
do no trust a hardware wallet even the ones still standing with giving you a random seed.
do not trust a desktop wallet either. draw your own words from a bucket that are cut out and replace the word you drew each time. then use seed signer to calculate your 24th word.
i still keep wondering if this was an inside job. no one ever cared about coldcard's code base. no one ever contributed except for these three and then out of the blue someone uses a very new model to find a bug and exploit it
