when deploying an AI model to be used reliably across an organization the only solution is hosted open source. the last thing any high reliability organization wants is the model to be "updated" overnight to the new version without testing. the real world does not move fast and break things.

Well off baby boomers are forced to withdrawal funds from their 401k and their kids can't afford housing. So, the parents buy a nice house for their kids and rent it well below market and use the depreciation of the rental property as an offset for their 401k withdrawals. This is why we see more and more house sales in the retirement age and less and less to the young Eventually the young inherit the house at the current appraised market price once the parents die. This helps the housing market not crash right away and eases the next generation's struggles. Happening in all major cities.

i think we will soon move into a world where the counter culture movement of "high tech off-liners" starts to go mainstream. even though many of the young people consume tic tok they want to stay intensely private

prediction: the liabilities off LLMs suggesting something terrible and causing a fatal unintended flaw in a mission critical workflow will one day cause lawsuits of such a grand scale that proprietary "AIs" to be financially liable just like self driving cars. The only way forward will be usage of open source LLMs with no ULAs attached to them. The only multi decade financial benefits will accrue to infrastructure providers in the AI boom

putting 39% tarrifs on swiss gold bars is going to cause an epic gold price revaluation on trapped US supply. https://stacker.news/items/1072396 then when gold reprices to $5k+ the US will revalue the treasury's gold holdings and use that revaluation to buy spot bitcoin in a budget neutral way.
