Good morning, NOSTR Friends! Happy Independence Day 2025! I hope you’re well. It is sunny and 75 this morning in northern Ohio, and our expected high temperature today is 88 degrees. I have no great plans for today, as my wife was planning to pick blueberries with her mom today, and I don’t drive. Keep working toward your freedom, friends! Any small step toward your goal is still progress, so keep stepping!

I had to run a couple of errands this morning, then we had a family outing to watch a movie.(How to Train your Dragon) It was fun. And I just figured out the answer to a problem I was having with software I use for editing video files. I'll shoot some video tomorrow, and try to get the pieces-parts spliced to make something watchable. Now it is time to grab a small snack and head for bed. Sleep well, Friends!

Good morning, NOSTR Friends! I hope you're well. The weather is beautiful (now) here in northern Ohio! The Weather Channel says it is currently 71 degrees with sunny skies. Our expected high temperate is 86. Humidity is 89%. The songbirds are singing, and I keep hearing my favorite bird - the robin - singing. They're not the prettiest bird, nor are they the best singer, but as far back as I can remember, I have always favored the robin. I find it fascinating that one bird's song can remind me of playing with worms as a boy, another bird reminds me of being at my grandparents' house in the summer, and still another takes me back to my favorite childhood home! Enough about birds... I'm going to go get breakfast now. I wish you a wonderful day (Today is "Hump Day"...It is all downhill from here! 😀 ) Have a great day, everybody! #coffeechain

Good night, NOSTR Friends. I hope your day was filled with good things and you finished the it’s on your list. I did some errands with my wife, and did an annual health interview with the health insurance company. The person in the other end of the call seemed so nice and so kind, but I am always slow to trust insurance companies of any stripe - I think I’ve heard too many negative stories about the industry. Well, the time has come for me to go to get ready for bed. My youngest wants me to sleep their bedroom, so I’ll go to sleep there until my wife wakes me to stagger to our room. Tomorrow’s weather looks pretty good, so I think I’m going to mow my yard. Sleep well, my friends!

Looking out my kitchen window here in northern Ohio, the skies are hazey. Our current temperature is: 74, and The Weather Channel says to expect high temperatures around 92 with a slight (15%) chance of afternoon thunderstorms. I’ll b in the basement today collecting information for the insurance company when we talk about my two freezers that were lost win our last thunderstorm storm. Have a great day, Friends! #asknostr Can anyone recommend a text-to-speech software that converts text to a natural-sounding computer voice? Or, do you know if ChatGPT does this? I want to create videos and add a voiceover, but am not a good speaker - lots of pauses, um’s, and uh’s. I want to script the text and upload it to ChatGPT or a website which will then create an mp3 file for me to download. Thank you for your advice and recommendations!!!

Good night, NOSTR Friends! I hope you sleep well. I didn’t do much of anything outside today. I mostly stayed inside near a fan - I do have my own fan club! (Sorry for the bad joke.) some of my summer 2025 goals are: - Learn how to take higher-quality photos & videos with my phone’s onboard cameras. - Learn how to write and script videos to showcase and sell items I want to sell on Marketplace - Learn to do public speaking for short duration on a given topic - Learn to use Corel VideoStudio to craft videos to upload to YouTube, or to promote items for sale on Marketplace. My biggest challenge will be the speaking/voice work. I’m considering seeing if AI can be taught to narrate my videos from a script. Well, good night, Friends! @Luke , I think I remember you posting about problems your pear tree is having. FWIW, my buddy has an apple tree and he is spraying it with a dilute of water & Thyme oil. He said it keeps the bugs off the apples & helps prevent fungus. He applies it every 2-3 weeks. #asknostr Question: Is it safe to buy a second-hand Raspberry Pi 4 (or 5) from eBay? They're not terribly expensive new, but if I can get one for less... I don't want any danger of malicious software/spyware installed and giving others access to my data... Additional info: I'll be replacing any Micro SD cards/storage devices that may come with it and performing clean installs of OS. Thank you for your insights!
