Bitcoin adoption, slow and steady! First time I went to #Zambia to share BTC knowledge was in 2022. We started monthly Bitcoin for Fairness meetups in Lusaka. Soon after @BitcoinZambia was founded. In 2023 we helped @Bitcoin Victoria Falls starting their initiative in Livingstone. One of their students and also in our Crack the Orange educators program is Keswell Mudenda, who now founded Bitwheels.online a taxi service which you can pay in #bitcoin.

From what I read and understood from Proton’s docs is that their solution is actually less privacy preserving than a regular Bitcoin wallet. As your BTC addresses are associated with your Proton email one only needs to send you BTC, then one has the email connection to the BTC address though that transaction. So as long as they don’t have default coinjoins, it’s worse. But ppl will believe it’s more private because of their other products. Also I saw no RBF or coin control.

Disliking Bitcoin because of Trump and Bukele is as ill-informed as liking Trump and Bukele because of Bitcoin.
