The view that bitcoin is an investment only and a partisan issue is very typical for US-Americans and Europeans as it ignores billions of people in the rest of the world who need bitcoin as a tool to escape their authoritarian regimes’ financial oppression. Bitcoin is a technology and the only form of money beneath cash that can be used by anyone without permission. Bitcoin doesn’t need politicians good will. Bitcoin is rules without rulers.

While upgrading wallet software it's advisable to verify what you've downloaded. It could be that someone interfered and you downloaded an altered version, that steals your funds. @craigraw made this process incredibly easy in Sparrow wallet. 👍⚡️

When I traveled to Zimbabwe and Botswana the first time in 2020 I knew only one Bitcoin initiative on the whole continent. It was Alakanani Itireleng‘s Satoshi Centre in Gaborone. There might have been some others as the continent is huge. But it guess it was only a handful.
