Gave my new talk about #Bitcoin & Human Rights at @Adopting Bitcoin Arnhem recently.
I think it’s one of the most underrated topics in Bitcoin.
If we lose censorship resistance and non KYC, we end up with a 21 million PayPal. Nice for the NgU people but definitely not a tool for sovereignty and freedom against authoritarianism.
Haven’t been on Nostr for a while. Recent events are bringing me back.
All central bankers are issuing a tool with which crime is being committed. Who has been put in prison?
#privacy is a human right!
Bitcoin is not for the faint hearted!
Congratulations to anyone who fuckin spent and replaced and saved their bitcoin over the years and saw the true purpose of non-state, hard money.
FGU > NGU
Freedom go Up is more important.
Number go Up is fucking great too.
For those who haven’t used Bitcoin yet: it’s never too late to (l)earn Bitcoin!
I‘m grateful, humble and honestly also proud about what I’ve accomplished over the last 7 years. To see Bitcoin‘s potential and share the knowledge with as many people as possible.

I met Alejandro in El Salvador in 2021. A Bitcoiner and critic of how Bitcoin was implemented by the government. He paid the highest price one can pay for his activism against Pres. Bukele and "died" in prison. My article from Dec 2021 about top down adoption of bitcoin in El Salvador was based on my visit in the country and conversations with Alejandro, who had first hand insights on Chivo and the developments around.
Recording with Carel van Wyk one of the South African Bitcoin pioneers and builder of the PicknPay Lightning merchant solution.
After this we went to PicknPay, the second largest retailer on the African continent and I bought some things with Lightning. And it went smooth, fast and sound.
I would like to see this everywhere!
Today the first South African Bitcoin only conference is starting. My keynote is at 10:40h.

A new Tanzanian Bitcoin project has been funded by a legit guy I know from long conversations. He is also a donor to BFF.
Recently he engaged a Tanzanian for help and social media. This guy goes by the name of Greyson, he was scamming someone on our meetup in Zambia. Please do not fund anything for this community as long as things haven’t cleared up. I assume Grey has set up the Geyser campaigns and not the real initiator.
Paper Bitcoin ETF versus grassroots adoption in Zambia.
I have a clear winner and am very happy to see a new circular economy project in Vic Falls.
Two of our BFF Zambia team members will be the Bitcoin teachers and meetup organizers.
Last year our Bitcoin for Fairness donors contributed the travel costs to get btc_dada from Kenya to AfroBitcoinOrg conference in Ghana.
This year she brought four of her students along without the need for support! That’s Proof of Work! 💪 Keep it up, sister!
Kudos to @Wallet of Satoshi for not bowing to KYC requirements.
Custodial wallets that don’t comply to regulations won’t survive in the long run.
Self-custody is the way to go.
It’s #thanksgiving and everyone is asking you how #Bitcoin really works?
25 min and you give them an easy to understand deep dive for newbies with this video 👇🏼
Beware of people who don’t understand Bitcoin, but talk as if they do.
Learn Bitcoin’s basic principles: self-custody, why Proof of Work mining, privacy and peer to peer.
That knowledge is a bullshit detector.
