17 years ago, on this very day, October 31st, 2008, I missed a huge opportunity. Hard to believe it’s been a year since completing the best coffee crash course in El Salvador… From education on the different brewing methods, to the complete history of coffee- I came out with a whole new level of understanding and appreciation. The views in El Salvador never get old…

It’s the regular, in-town, local farmer’s markets that might be the most rewarding out of all the experiences we’ve had with Satoshi’s Sip. These are not Bitcoin events. We just go out into the wild, hang up our big orange Bitcoin signs and El Salvador flags with a goal to orange-pill, have conversations, and of course, serve some delicious coffee. We have realized through our time doing this that the public perception of Bitcoin is fascinating. The vast majority of people are incredibly confused about Bitcoin- they’ve “heard” of it, but have not yet explored it enough to act on it in any meaningful way. It’s also a pretty safe guess that the vast majority of people we encountered didn’t own any SATS… Despite knowing this, we still display these “50% off if you pay in SATS” signs. It’s rare. But, I’m proud to say that every once in a while, we will find someone that holds BTC, but has never actually spent it. A fish on the line. For those who haven’t yet tried to orange-pill others, I completely get it. It’s the path of least resistance. But understand, it’s one thing to be a Bitcoiner, it’s another to go out and actually try to be an active part of its adoption. It’s incredibly rewarding to onboard others. The dream for Satoshi’s Sip is to one day become a leading venue for people to make their FIRST EVER Bitcoin transactions. We believe that the more people who have Bitcoin and who are actively participating in the circular economy, the faster the world moves towards Satoshi’s vision!

Let’s address the elephant in the room… Everyone knows the price of coffee has absolutely skyrocketed. Arabica beans, for example, are at an all time high. Despite this, I’m here to say that Satoshi’s Sip has never received one formal complaint about the price of our Bitcoin Coffee. Most would assume a small business like ours would be outrageously expensive, but I encourage everyone that sees this post to visit our website and see for yourself. Who knows?
