Has studying #bitcoin shifted your perspective or changed you in any way?
If yes, what specifically? 🤔👇
On March 28th, 2013, the market cap of the entire Bitcoin network surpassed $1 billion for the first time.
Fast forward to yesterday, March 27, 2025— and Bitcoin's daily market cap reached a high of $1.73 trillion and a low of $1.716 trillion, indicating a 24hr change of $14 BILLION USD.
That means that yesterday, in a single random day, Bitcoin's market cap fluctuated by 14x what the ENTIRE market cap was just 12 years ago. 🤯
Imagine where we’ll be in another 12 years…
• Bitcoin's fundamentals? Timeless and will remain unchanged. Tick Tock, next block.
• Fiat currencies? Will continue to lose value, and traditional finance will continue to be on a sinking ship.
Inevitably, as passengers on this ship realize they’re going down, more will seek a lifeboat.
The same lifeboat that celebrated 'Billion Dollar Day' in 2013, and will inevitably celebrate '21 Trillion Dollar Day' at some point in the future.
You should probably keep stacking.

📍Tepecoyo, El Salvador

I am an American, and I recently returned from another trip to El Salvador. Given that there are still so many outdated headlines, I feel compelled to give my honest thoughts:
EL SALVADOR IS SO RIDICULOUSLY SAFE FOR TOURISTS, to the point that it’s almost comical how incredibly misinformed people can be.
Over the past few years, Salvadorans have worked really hard to reshape their country's reputation, and their efforts have paid off, as evidenced by the tourism boom. However, what I get to see, given my position, is that Salvadorans don’t fully grasp just how many Americans are still really scared to visit.
Unfortunately, the reality is that when I tell my friends that I'm going to El Salvador, they often become unnecessarily nervous for me.
Yes, I’m aware of the country's dark past. But seriously? They still have “travel warnings” up, and the first thing you get when you look up El Salvador are horror stories trying to scare everyone from visiting. Why?
My take— as someone who has visited the country multiple times since 2022, explored various towns, cities, tourist sites, and walked around at night— is that it’s time for travel advisory warnings about El Salvador to be removed once and for all.
I guess I should mention that I haven’t tried walking around cities late at night carrying briefcases with cash, or been passed out on the side of the interstate after a late night at a club. But my gut tells me that if I had to do that, I’d be way better off in El Salvador than most other places in the world.
I feel like it’s Americans in my position who need to share their positive experiences and help eliminate these outdated fears. (That’s actually one of the main reasons I started Satoshi’s Sip: to shine a light on El Salvador's transformation and tell the truth about how the country has changed.)
El Salvador is a beautiful country with great coffee, great beaches, great tourist sites, great volcanoes, and above all, great, kind, and welcoming people. I’ve never been harassed during my visits, and I’ve noticed a strong police presence throughout the country. I’ve also seen school children and young women walking alone, even at night, which speaks to the general safety of the area. It deserves to be recognized as such.
If you're an American who's feeling nervous about booking a trip to El Salvador, I hope this message has reassured you and given you the confidence to go. Don’t let fear or the media hold you back—you’ll have an amazing time. 🇸🇻🏄♂️
