We returned pretty late from the movie, so it was straight to bed last night. Early alarm, since only I work from home today and She hurried to get ready. Mentioned that the house is pretty untidy and just said that it would be nice to return and find it's not the case already. Eventually even asked if She should put a collar on me. I just brushed it off. Like yeah, I have been hinting and even spelling it out for a long time, but maybe because She said it half a foot out of the door, it felt like an afterthought. And I am afraid that that train has already left the station. Maybe someday it will be back, but I don't feel like letting my subconscious spiral into fantasies and then having to handle the hangover myself over one rushed hint of something I yearn for... Still will clean up, though.

It was good. I liked both the book and the film. One of the rare occasions where I don't mind having the end spelled out explicitly. It ran long, but that's the cost if you don't want to cut out any important scenes from the book. Some things were still rushed, but for the benefit of a coherent and manageable story accessible to current filmgoers. She has some work-related problem and it takes a lot of energy to remind myself that She is looking for an ear and a shoulder, not a solution... More so since I am not fully aboard with Her viewpoint.

Starting to appreciate the forced leisure time. Too small a time slice to do something else, too long not to let your mind rest. Had a chat with the youngest while waiting, now almost an hour of another wait. It's so unusual to slow down it almost feels unnatural.

I hate when I don't do something immediately and then just remember a faint hint of what it was all about. Like now, I know that I wanted to post a note that was about something "blown to smithereens," but that's literally all I can remember. 😞

We have no algo here, but you can still watch it to be sure. Just make sure it won't awaken anything in you.
