Merge fields, nature is the only industry.
Ahh, Nostr is just the start. 🧪⚛️🌐
Primal forces pulling from only 1 node at a time.. where nostr allows pulling from multiple nodes at a time — this is a fundamental fork of the nostr architecture that has gone undisputed up until this point.
The primal cache node is connected to multiple relays — but users can’t decide which relays. It’s hard-coded. This is fundamentally weak architecture.
I won’t be participating in Primal’s fork of nostr.
It’s easier to smell out peoples’ true intentions *before* becoming successful. People mask and morph their intentions more slyly when there’s more to gain.
This is one advantage of being underestimated: getting the chance to see people for who they really are. It’s the best time to test the waters if you’re suspicious of peoples’ character.
No one is perfect. Sometimes overlapping values are worth overlooking your differences. But some values cannot be compromised on. Test the waters. 🌊
Better to find out now rather than later.
Allegiance to principles, not people.

In an industry full of short-cutting charlatans, the rigorous purists are crucified.
We’ve got our own wolf pack. We’ll make it there with or without OpenSats.
Underdog stories are always better anyways. We’ll be back.
Interesting way to put it… Nostr is the base. 🧱
Different developers are building their own stacks on it. Let’s see which stack has the most resilience and universality for new clients to build on.

From primal cache to fiatjaf’s relay hints, both are examples of oversimplifying discovery in distributed systems. These are fragile approaches that don’t encourage moving between relays (in fact they encourage a static set of relays).
It’s easy to slap stuff together and ship. Marketing it is even easier — disingenuous in fact.
But this isn’t Silicon Valley. They are lost causes. Time to move on.
So true… gut instinct registers connections below the conscious mind, whether it’s about people or ideas.
