Heres a shoutout/question to all those freedom techies (is that how you spell it?) out there:
For over a decade now I am using Linux on my computer and for about 7 years I am using a "custom OS" on my phone...And...Sometimes I really question myselfy whether there is something masochistic about it....because...I sometimes miss the sleek design and functionality of AppleOS and man, on my phone, I cant take proper 2024-style photos because big corp. seems to put special emphasis on making the camera drivers closed source.
I am truly curious: WHAT DO YOU GUYS DO ABOUT IT?
I'd love to hear from 100+ people :-)
So, here I try a nostr-thing: I'll zap the first 21 replies :-)))

GM!
I feel so non-compliant (to mainstream thinking) today.
It's a good day.
What is it with Primal, that some media wont load? Pics, videos...
Only one - primal. ... And I urgently need to change that!! Any recommendations for Android?
I am hearing everywhere: Deutschland is going down. Cuo bono?
@Manbyt Any first thoughts on that Orgonite?
You inspired to me to listen to the episode and I am becoming curious. :-)
Something I am happy I learned fairly early, being a father: Sibling need to be allowed to fight. Not only verbally - which is a skill that shows quite a high degree of maturity, for many adults dont have it - but also physically.
1. A child does communicate a lot in physical ways. Its our most basic form of communication.
2. Siblings have the right - and the ability - to create, and constantly update, their relationship.
3. Siblings that are (by their parents) are allowed to fight - and so clear their relationship - can build an incredible community amongst them. (As in adults: to live through conflicts, being very honest about ones needs and emotions, creates more reliable and deeper relationships).
4. As parents, we should limit our involvement (to a sometimes very challenging degree) to give comfort, when the children come to us, mostly after the conflict.
5. I have two daughters younger than 7...
Quo vadis Deutschland?
Are you familiar with this feeling of deep gratitude and wonder, when you pick ripe fruit for free?

Wow, I am in my mid-thirties now and finally learning how to fight. It touches something deep inside me and ... heals some bad memories (of feeling powerless in aggressive situations) from my teenage years.
I feel empowered and deeply satisfied by this practice.
What do you folk think:
Does a man have to know how to fight - not least to defend his family?
What style/practice/sport is best for self-defense and fighting skills?
You know, I never signed up to Twitter/X, I dont use Snapchat, Insta, Tiktok (are there others I forgot?). My Facebook account I deleted maybe 10 years ago... And now @Manbyt introduces me to nostr and here I am... still diving through with my eyes wide open, struggling to figure it out...
Is it possible that someone here is interested in my thoughts, my stories and reflections?
Kann nostr auch Deutsch?
