Everything we perceive is a hallucination rendered by our brains, pinging reality’s server for sensory data, letting us map and navigate the network of existence. Dreams are such hallucinations too, but the brain runs them offline, generating output without pinging reality’s server.

Pneuma is breath. In Stoicism, it is the spirit—the very seed of all life. 'Become pneuma' is perhaps the most powerful meditation instruction. Focus on breath to become breath.
Enjoy...

The foreword by @Saifedean Ammous made me curious about this book. I’m ready to enlighten myself again.

Bitcoin Age is a brief marvel—highly informative and engaging. Thank you, @npub1qw6e...2v52.

'The Ethics of Liberty' by Rothbard is a great read, even if you don’t agree with everything he writes. Although I am personally closer to Mises, Rothbard’s talent for rigorous logical reasoning is truly impressive.

🧘🏻♂️ A few meditation instructions for those who practise daily 🧘🏻♂️
Disclaimer: I apologise if this sounds like gibberish. Language is a blunt tool.
What is happening now?
And now... And now... And now... Second by second. Meditation is about the relentless noticing that all contents populating consciousness (images, sounds, sensations, thoughts) remain in a state of continuous change, whether we want it to or not.
Where is the silence?
Even in times of unrest and chaos, stillness is present and permeates everything. Seek out this silence, find it, and try to spend time within it. Use the silent space as a vantage point for observing and noticing whatever is happening now. And now...
Where am I? What am I? Who am I?
In the silent space, you may notice that, among other things, the Self is also present. It’s that feeling (contraction?) that you are you. It’s the part of you that wants or doesn’t want things, that desires and protests. It’s the part that refuses to let go. Notice it and return to the silence. And again. And again.
Everyone’s inner space is different. Please share your tips on how to practise.
With metta.

Yesterday's performance by Trump and Vance was not a display of power. It was a theatre for the crowd, underpinned by narcissism and helplessness. To be honest, it was quite pathetic.

I understand realpolitik and the transactional nature of international relations. Still, using an invasion and the threat of existential destruction to force a country to surrender half of its rare resources in exchange for protection is nothing but racketeering. It is morally reprehensible.
I didn't know the story; it's a great one. Thank you!
Soon, the Polish edition of the book "Broken Money" by the brilliant @Lyn Alden will be published by Freedom Publishing. I had the great pleasure of working with the publisher as a consultant on the Polish version of the book.
The book doesn't need advertising here on nostr, but I am glad it will reach a wider audience of Polish readers. You can also become a patron of this edition today, which I warmly encourage. More information can be found on the publisher's website:

Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs addresses Russia's invasion of Ukraine at the UN General Assembly today. Thoughts?
I’ve been waiting for this moment—I just started reading The Big Print by @Lawrence Lepard

I've taken my first steps into the territory of Podcastistan. It was a pleasure to talk with @Niko Jilch and @Lyudmyla Kozlovska about the threats to privacy in the fiat world.

Why Bitcoin needs to be protected at all costs
The Fiat system is a privacy nightmare. Regulations can be weaponized against dissidents and civil society. Building freedom technologies is vital ...
That's stunning. It'd be useful to see someone unrelated to @OCEAN replicate this experiment.
This is a significant pivot. I'm pleased to see Zuck's change of heart. Nostr paved the way, X followed, and now Meta is joining the free speech renaissance. The others will either follow or be left behind.

Hey @Alby ,
Thanks for the Alby Hub’s Friends & Family feature! I used it today to set up a sub-account for a family member, which I connected to Alby Go. It’s perhaps the easiest way to onboard close contacts without relying on third-party custodial services.
That said, I would appreciate the following additional capabilities:
— A separate balance for the sub-account in the main account’s UI (currently, payments to the sub-account are merged with those of the main account and are indistinguishable)
— For the main account owner to spend from the sub-account’s balance, it should require deleting the sub-account (in this case, the balances should merge)
— An LN address for the sub-account
Additionally, I have not found a way to reconnect an existing sub-account to a new Alby Go instance. Is it possible to display the secret code again when the sub-account is already set up and running?
Anyways, great stuff! All the best.

I think I’ve found it—my Ikigai.
