I made gyudon (Japanese beef bowl) today.
In Japan, there are many gyudon chain restaurants that are affordable, fast, and delicious, and gyudon is so popular that it can be considered one of the country’s national comfort foods🍚
Today I tried making maguro yamakake-don (a tuna and grated yam rice bowl).
Yamakake-don is rice topped with tuna and tororo (grated raw nagaimo, a Japanese mountain yam).
After trying it, I felt tuna and tororo might taste better eaten separately. But it was still delicious 🐟

Today I found some fresh, delicious-looking squid, so I made ikameshi.
(Ikameshi is a dish where squid is stuffed with glutinous rice and simmered.)
It was my first time trying it, and it was absolutely delicious 🦑
