Shadrach doesn’t know that we talked about him in this episode. Dude is a big part of the story and the connection. We’re all just doing our part of the history we’re currently part of creating. Catch up my friend - you are a key character! View quoted note →

The future of Bitcoin is fully in front of us. While it’s sad that bent live to see the best of it, I have zero doubt that I’m standing on the zero point and the future is infinite from that relative perspective. The ruling class is just messing with it now and we’re watching them fumble around it not knowing wtf it is or what it’s supposed to do. The price of Bitcoin will not tell this story. It will tell it very badly and if you’re focused on it, you’ll conclude the wrong things and likely separate from your Bitcoin. Never relent, never surrender. Find other optics to measure progress. Invent them if you must. I have done just that in my new book and look forward to building out the story based on what I believe to be far better metrics than USD price. XBTUSD is the God that failed and the religion of NGU was the lost religion.

For the record, I don’t get into influencer intrigue. I think 100 podcast episodes is a proof of work that demonstrates that. If I wanted to do a WWF style call out, it would be for the sole purpose of getting @James Lavish and Foss to discuss my Blackrock thesis - laid out in my book I’m about to unleash. 2 years ago I sent a sizeable (for me) FountIn boost to Breedlove for having James on but I wanted to get their attention and discuss what I think they got wrong. It led to nowhere. I decided to write an essay to state my case but nobody read it. Then I decided to start a podcast to flesh out my case further. In Episode 2 (march 2023) I laid out my case including what I thought Lavish and Foss got wrong and declared I’d write a book. Now the book is complete and Blackrock is in our space seemingly validating my core thesis with nobody outside of me discussing it. This is all to say - I’m not out here trying to ruffle @ODELL ‘s feathers for engagement. I’m not that guy and I have a proof of work that shows I don’t care about that and that it would likely not be noticed anyway. I’m focused on what I’m building. My 4 podcasts, the communities, the circular economies, and the math academy.

This goes out to all of the super talented kids out there who built such huge success the last cycle as an influencer that they are now power brokers and capital allocators in this cycle: (I’m thinking a lot of @ODELL but this is pretty evergreen except for point 5) 1. Nobody has ever charted your path. Don’t be overly hard on yourself for not knowing how to do it. 2. There’s no jumping off the ship without risking serious injury. It’s a worthy goal but consider how much energy you are willing to give to it. 3. You succeeded as a boy but now you’re a man and you have to defend your kingdom without alienating the people who helped you build it. I understand why you entertain ideas of walking away and I think you’re on the right track but I think you have to win at this level before expressing those ideas publicly. 4. As much as you advocate for privacy, you chose to live your personal journey in public. As a (boy) podcaster and influencer, this is what build your audience. As a (man) power broker and capital allocator, this is problematic and at odds with winning at this level. You’re likely gonna have to slay the boy at some point. 5, (specific to Odell) try not to lean too much into comedy, joking with your audience, clients, etc. it’s just not your bag and it makes your mission even harder. Comedy is for autists who need it to get people to tolerate them. Look at it like ADD medication - if you have ADD you might benefit from using it cautiously, but if you have normie brain chemistry you’re messing around with hard drugs. I can’t explain why Marty is good with it - he’s just a freak. I hope you see this with the respect it’s intended to convey. This is more for my listeners who might have a distorted sense of how I feel about Odell, but also kids like Mallers who I see similarly. I have enough respect for them to write this note and express these feelings.

Fiat money made it so that kids in their 20s and nearly 30s were founders who had zero business founding anything. It made private equity kids who should have been grinding and suffering to figure out a way how to start their own business. Now kids with Bitcoin think they have role models to become VCs but those role models - every single one - existed solely because of fiat money that should have never existed.
