My reasoning with normies (at least with those I care about enough to continue my attempts in explanation) has recently come down to this proposition: “Even if you think I’m completely wrong and Bitcoin won’t become what we expect it to be, wouldn’t you feel a bit better about the future knowing you’ve hedged your bet by placing just a little (whatever that little is for you) into this crazy Bitcoin thing I’m talking about…?” What are your arguments in these conversations?

How to convince my father in-law that losing (physically losing access to) Bitcoin overtime won’t lead to abandonment of this asset as means of exchange and store of value 1000 years from now and bring us back under the terror of fiat corruption…? He expects that due to human error and simply dying with our seed phrases forever lost, we will arrive at a place where there is no more bitcoin. I tried all arguments I have. Any suggestions…?
