My reasoning with normies (at least with those I care about enough to continue my attempts in explanation) has recently come down to this proposition: “Even if you think I’m completely wrong and Bitcoin won’t become what we expect it to be, wouldn’t you feel a bit better about the future knowing you’ve hedged your bet by placing just a little (whatever that little is for you) into this crazy Bitcoin thing I’m talking about…?” What are your arguments in these conversations?

Whether or not you agree with @₿en Wehrman, you have to give it to him: his posts on Primal are a testimony to the curiously complex absurdities of this world… Thanks for making my mind blow and spin on the daily! Very entertaining and dumbfounding. It makes me think of this quote: “I would much rather have questions I cannot answer, than answers I cannot question…”

How to convince my father in-law that losing (physically losing access to) Bitcoin overtime won’t lead to abandonment of this asset as means of exchange and store of value 1000 years from now and bring us back under the terror of fiat corruption…? He expects that due to human error and simply dying with our seed phrases forever lost, we will arrive at a place where there is no more bitcoin. I tried all arguments I have. Any suggestions…?

Funny how the promise of socialism is always inversely correlated with citizen’s wealth creation and long term growth… One would think there is something at its core that leads to such results. Ah, nah… no way this beautifully attractive idea “that sounds nice” could be wrong. Right…?

Switching to Primal.net and leaving Instagram, FB, TikTok and X was the best choice I made for safeguarding my attention and bullet-proofing my mental health… It does feel like #FearandLoathinginLasVegas in here, but at least I know the values all of you crazy people have at heart.
