break in the storms, I have enough time to go get my daily walk in at the park. I get kind of grumpy if I don't get outside in fresh air and exercise every day. Today's music playlist provided by a classic English Prog band Genesis.
Day is starting, fresh pot of dark roast #FireDepatmentCoffee Ribeye steak bites, sautéed shiitake mushrooms, blistered shishito peppers and scrambled eggs image
Ok, back into safe area now. so making another attempt at getting some sleep image
“If the future's looking dark, We're the ones who have to shine. If there's no one in control, We're the ones who draw the line. Though we live in trying times, We're the ones who have to try. And we know that time has wings, So we're the ones who have to fly.” ― Neil Peart
Dammit, another sugar level crash woke me up. Not sure what is going on, my diet hasn't changed, neither have i changed any medication with the exception that I actually lowered the amount of insulin.
time to head to the snore shelf. putting on some Vivaldi for sleep music. Yes I have a very eclectic taste in music. Classical, Jazz/swing, blues, progressive rock, classic rock, synthwave. if there is talented musicians and lyrics with meaning I'll listen.
One thing I still find interesting, after all these years, is how w]our tastes change as we get older, 40-50 years ago, my late night snacks would be all about sweet sugary food. Now, my ideal snack is some thinly sliced cloves of garlic, lightly fried in ghee then sprinkled with salt, or spicy pork chicharrons.
Home from my walk, gorgeous day out at the park. Now home resting and debating what to fix for supper while i listen to some classic BOC
MUCH nicer day today, no clouds, comfortable temps. starting to work on the music playlist for my walk. I am in a jazz mood today, so I'm going with Spyro Gyra
Ok, my glucose levels are back in safe areas, going back to bed.
well, that was a short sleep, was rudely awakened my my glucose meter throwing a low blood glucose alarm, it was 60 and falling.
Time to hit the snore shelf, rest my eyes, have good dreams and hopefully awaken rested and ready to go
Sitting here this evening with an adult beverage and some good music. Frey Ranch straight rye whiskey and Vernors Ginger Ale on the rocks in highball glass and some The Midnight.
the "pop up" txt boxes for writing/replying to notes and articles on #Nostrich need to be adjusted so the box stays the same size and the txt scrolls so that the button to post is available. I am literally having to go into options and decrease the magnification on my screen to find the post button
Back from my walk, Made it home just before the sky started turning black again. Must be something going on with the weather, the local radio station's signal keeps dropping out and coming back
My afternoon walk will be delayed a bit today due to thunderstorms rolling through. Gives me time to pick out a good playlist. I'm thinking Porcupine Tree today
