The question comes a lot, “Is it really a relay in your phone?” and the answer has always been - YES!
In releasing this app, we wanted to help people understand what Nostr is by putting the foundation of it; A HAVEN relay built on khatru, directly into the phone.
As soon as you understand that you run a relay, you understand the purpose of the network of them. Watch this first episode to get a good understanding for how you participate in the network by running a relay and keeping a full copy for yourself.
Just submitted for the App Store
Nostr Vault 3.0 is out.
A Nostr client built around your web of trust. You decide who you see, and every feed follows your rules. Your own relay runs inside the app, so your notes, follows and media live on your device first.
New in 3.0: share your profile with a QR code, start with the circle of whoever told you about Nostr Vault, and serve your photos from your own phone over the FIPS mesh.

In this video @Constant discusses the outbox model and the importance of people understanding relays.
Hands down, this is exactly why Vault exists. By building a HAVEN relay directly into the phone, you have 100% total control over what goes in and out.
Having a visual WoT and Feeds to go along with they relay shows with detail what lens you are deciding goes into your Nostr experience.
