Vibram is so perfect for wet concrete. It feels like mini suction cups on the ground. Very stiff, though! I felt my lower calves after the first wear. First time trying #barefoot shoes. I have worn Altra Lone Peaks for two years, but I needed some winter boots. I bought these Xero Alpines for 40% off. I wore them today through wet grass and walked through puddles, and still arrived home toasty and dry. I will still spray with Carbon Pro to ensure waterproofing. The grip on the sole wasn't great like Vibram so I would be wary of snow or ice, but for my needs of some wet concrete and mostly nature, they are perfect. I bought a half size larger (would recommend this regardless of added insole) and put in a more padded insole. So far, I don't notice a huge difference between this setup and my Lone Peaks. Very pleased with this purchase.
