Trying to get my friends from my youth to join a Signal chat group instead of Facebook group. They’re great guys, but they think I’m a conspiracy guy for not wanting to be on FB, Snap, Insta, TikTok etc. After 8 months I’ve managed to persuade 6 out of 8. They are not happy with installing a new app, but occasionally engage. Haven’t mentioned Nostr yet, that seems far fetched at this point. (For reference: We’re all Gen X / Millennials)

5 years ago on this date a friend of mine showed me this video and introduced me to #bitcoin I was blown away and decided to learn more about this thing. @Peter McCormack and @Guy Swann was essential to my first months and years on this adventure. Later @RABBIT HOLE RECAP became my weekly update, and then @Lyn Alden wrote that great book, and I went to Oslo and heard @gladstein speak, and there still more to learn. I’ve been here through some bears and bulls, I’ve been humbled more than once and learned to stay humble and stack sats. Status after five years: - all in bitcoin - node runner - mine BTC for heat - keep most of my bitcoin in cold storage - Nostr only - have improved my health and work out regularly - #40HPW - @Bugle.News #40HPW🎧 fan - probably retarded - but my wife accepts it

Finally, snow! ❄️ Best time of the year

Winter is here, new heat mining setup: S19 K Pro providing 120TH/s. Unfortunately not on Braiins OS yet, Bitmain has locked the amlogic Control Board from aftermarket firmware installation. Noise is not an issue, the miner is only running when we’re not here. The main purpose is to keep our mountain cabin above 10C during winter season. Thanks to @CyberHive for supply and support. And @Maple for help with set up and troubleshooting.
