@Logues reads boosts! Hell yeah. This episode is a great listen. I can draw parallels in finding ways to spend Bitcoin and find Bitcoiners. Instead of looking for records, you're looking for liquidity and avoid getting scammed. As usual, local liquidity is primo because of the flexibility and reliability just like the local means of collecting wax.

I enjoyed the fiery exchange in this episode when it comes to governance. This biggest issues I have with the governance today is that it assumes that strangers have no provenance without a central state. It makes me wonder if the coercive systems we participate in today create incentives for people become more and more estranged from their communities, which makes it hard to imagine systems that don't rely on coercion for enforcement.

When cultural capital is subsidized away by fiat, the culture becomes perverted. There is no framework for common sense or reinforcement of societal norms when the decisions become the most convenient. Bitcoin fixes this but the perversion will continue to grow in the meantime. #40hpw
