claude web app just bumped me out of login as i was composing a prompt just now, then it did a cloudflare check and i had to log in again. it occurs to me that the outage of two days ago may have been an attack. i had not seen cloudflare with them before. cloudflare gives me the heebie jeebies. i think this is only going to increase their attack surface but obviously they didn't ask claude whether this was a good idea.

woke up in a semi hypnagogic state, like i was prompting claude to do some new stuff to the lattice building feed processes that build on #dendrite. i elaborated a few of the concepts that were in this half dream state before i forgot them, and it seemed to boil down to a general concept for how i take what i have, and turn it into a text generator. a process of feeding back random walks that all contain a valid, singular, ergodic path, ie, it walks every point in the lattice randomly, feeds that back into itself, so that paths that follow in other dimensions than were recorded from the texts, now are joined, because they are valid re-expressions of the text that do not disagree with the topology of the original data, it acts to "compress" then, there is also a 6 way interlinear bible, with french, english, german, slovenian, croatian and bulgarian, and wu xing, i ching and tao te ching in chinese and english. the next one is to do the training that includes the actual characters (letters for european, words in chinese) and instead of discarding the symbols, they become encoded as tagged to the new lattice points that are stored. this then enables a reversal that generates text. so, it will now feed back the lattices, and collapse all of the lattices i can find that already exist, encoding the pattern of the input coherently. add the labels of letters that this creates, into the unified body. then randomly walk the paths, picking up the characters tied to each part of the lattice, and feeding this back in, a bit like how a markov generator works, except with a much denser pattern that is not just shuffled but retaining its coherence. this should be a bit like when you take a bucket full of gravel, and keep shaking it until all the gravel bits reorient until they pack optimally, minimizing the space between them. then when it is walked, it can return a composed text out of it. then it's just a matter of going from there to inputting a actual prompt, and then walking that path in the lattice to search neighbours and then from those, unpack a text, and in theory that plus some more mechanisms i haven't figured out yet, will give us a chatbot.

progress on #sentry is advancing faster than i expected. through the iterative loop with my dialog with #claude over each process where i get it to do something, and then ask it "ok, what logically follows" it makes suggestions, i home in on the key points, and then iterate again. i have now practically completed the specification for sentry, the implementation is in progress, it will accumulate historical data from all relays on the network, test against the historical set, present the verdicts to me, and then once that's all certified, it will be deployed. ai slop posters will be flagged with an escalating tempo. rhetoric/propaganda/manipulation posters will be warned at a slow pace at first, escalating tempo until every time they post rhetoric, they will instantly (under a second) get a reply that lists all of the rhetorical devices they used, and link them to publicly available explanations of the tricks they are using. people will learn from this what is going on. and it gets better there is also a third class of mischief that will be detected - that of the followers of the rhetoric posters. they will be separately identified, and depending on how deep their replication of their identified leaders is, handled differently. poorly developed, early stage people will get kinder advice. later stage will be identified as clear servants of their teachers, and given the same escalating treatment to warn other users of their methods and tactics. maybe next week this will all be rolling, and it will be a steamroller because once people have the names for things, they start to copy the sentry and will also start to notice it going on in the people in physical proximity to them, on the internet, politicians, corporate leaders, media talking heads, all of this. then it will spread. this is called cohering, a convergence towards coherence. this is how we end the influence of evil people, by plucking the weeds before they grow large and accumulate color revolution style followings.

once again, claude helped me learn something today. you probably have heard of the term "cognitive dissonance" - this is a marker of a person who is under the influence and control of a manipulator. there is a technical term for it: heteronomous. autonomous is where an individual is coherent from core to surface, heteronomous is where they appear to agree with the rhetorical text (doctrines, slogans) of the abuser, but have an internal voice (subconscious, leaking through the contradictions in their text). some of you may have seen my accidental deployment of the #sentry, which is an application built on #dendrite, that originally started out as an AI text detector, and i had the idea to detect persuasive language (manipulation, rhetoric) that i labeled "troll" as trolls do this. the bit i didn't have right about it is that to identify a troll, first you have to recognise rhetorical language, which uses fallacies and word tricks. once you identify rhetorical text, then you start to look for reactions in other people that have this structure of heteronomy - they outwardly react to the deceptive text, and start to develop a schizophrenic element in their response. flagging rhetorical text is one thing, and will be part of what sentry eventually does, but recognising responses to it confirms not only that the rhetoric is being put out there, it is also screwing with other people's minds, causing them to align outwardly with the rhetoric, while their subtext is inconsistent. this will then identify what i call "Chains" in the manipulation protocol, the book that i'm building for that, which i will be finishing editing in a few weeks and make available in ebook form, on demand print, and will go with a go-style game i conceived which is designed to train a person in adapting to the environment and in the case of abusive, rhetorical text and marks of cultic manipulation on nostr, learning how to counter and neuter the threat, maybe even drive the scumbags off the network. Sentry is a key part of the strategy, because it will help identify the abusive users, as well as distinguish them from their victims, who will superficially resemble them. those relations will be mapped, and when sufficiently coherent, will have information available to onlookers that will help them understand what is going on and who is who. oh yeah, i know it's gonna upset some applecarts. that's the idea. there is predators on nostr, and they have recruited susceptible individuals to wave the flag for them. this is early notice that this is not going to be so easy to do in the future.
