Day 39:

Day 39:
We are about to arrive into a town called Tehachapi, then Lake Isabella, followed by Kennedy Meadows - The Gateway to the Sierras.
Last night was brutal due to the wind.
The above will be miles 550-700.
A rough night, but it is beautiful today.
Day 38:
This wind is unbelievable… wind tonight may approach 85 mph.
No idea how we are going to camp, but at this point, I find myself laughing at the situation.
You will be walking and literally hit a wall.
Day 37:
We are doing our first night hike tonight…

We are 150 miles away from the Sierras.
Going to move a bit slower as we want the snow to melt prior to our arrival.
The Germans went to Wal-Mart for the first time yesterday. They hated LA it’s it’s great listening to them discuss it.

With respect to day 33….
Mid day was at mile 462 and ultimately made it to a campsite at mile 474.
Its time to change up hiking times. We are going to start earlier, take breaks in the afternoon, and start again later in the day. It’s getting a bit hot during the afternoon.

Made it 5 miles to town…we will have breakfast and rest.
