CRACKDOWN ON SPEECH CONTINUES IN UNITED KINGDOM.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- United Kingdom: The censorship and speech targeting concerns continue to deteriorate as another wave of arrests has emerged among right-wing political commentators. Steve Laws and Pete North have been arrested over the past few days, as PM Starmer continues to state that the U.K. has freedom of speech. Nonetheless, the arrests continue, not just among more visible influencers, but among laypeople as well. Analyst Comment: Hundreds of arrests have been reported all around the U.K. for social media posts, with most of these arrests only coming to light from family members who notice the arrests. This is due to gag orders being placed on the detainees, so that they can't even talk about why they were arrested, or else they will get slapped with higher charges. This is to ensure that the speech crime arrests go largely unnoticed, since public outcry would result if high profile arrests are made. Since the courts are now routinely placing gag orders on people who are being arrested on speech-crime charges, the sheer scale of how many arrests are being made is impossible to know. -HomeFront- Illinois: The situation in Chicago continues to deteriorate as more counter-ICE riots escalate. Various blockade-type actions remain the main vector for rioters to hinder ICE actions, such as at the detention facility in Broadview. Iowa: This afternoon a high-profile ICE raid was carried out, targeting Dr. Ian Andre Roberts. Roberts was the superintendent of the Des Moines Public School System, but he was also a fugitive and illegal immigrant from Guyana who had an active deportation order since May of 2024. After his case was reopened, ICE agents made contact with him today, after which he fled on foot before a K9 unit apprehended him. He was arrested in possession of a firearm, a large knife, and several thousand dollars. Florida: Yesterday evening a high-profile Amber Alert was issued for a hostile abduction of a 17-year-old in Marion County. Caden Speight has been found, but was initially reported missing after what was initially described as a very kinetic kidnapping. The victim's family received a text message that indicated he had been shot and kidnapped by 4x Hispanic males in a light colored van. Local authorities located his abandoned vehicle on Hwy 484 (which had at least one bullet hole in it, according to the initial story), and Speight's phone was also recovered at the scene broken in half. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Something is not quite right with this case, and despite the obvious media hooks to sensationalize this story, nobody really knew what was going on as the details of the search continued to change throughout the day. This morning, investigators stated that the initial details of the incident were determined to be false, and that the current evidence available does not support the abduction story. Investigators stated that he appears to have departed from the initial incident site on a bicycle, possibly with a red and grey tent that was purchased using his credit/debit card at a Walmart in Ocala shortly before the incident. At the time it appeared as though this may have been a runaway situation portrayed as a violent kidnapping. However, as the situation continued to develop, notices from officials changed from an Amber Alert to caution, urging citizens to not make contact with Speight if he was discovered. Shortly after this change in tone, Speight was reported to be found, with a gunshot wound to his leg. However some reports suggest the opposite, and that he was found without any wounds (as indicated during the live press conference with the Sheriff's Office). From an investigative perspective, this is not entirely a novel case. Often times individuals make compounding decisions that don't necessarily make sense to us, but to the individual themselves their actions do make sense. Whether this was a very elaborate hoax that involved a self-inflicted gunshot wound, or of this was something else remains uncertain. The only details that have been confirmed beyond reasonable doubt is that the abduction story was not true and that Speight is no longer missing. All the other details in this case are up in the air, and will take some time to clarify. Of note regarding this case, as interesting as a potential hoax case is, one aspect of the story remains absolutely critical to investigate further, as it has wide-ranging implications beyond this incident itself. Initially the Amber Alert was sent out that described Speight as wearing a red MAGA hat, and that he was possibly abducted by 4x Hispanic males. As these details are highly sensational news, this received a lot of media attention. However, these details were false....right now it looks like someone forged the original Amber Alert notice mere minutes after it was released to include the detail about the MAGA hat. No record can be found that the Marion County Sheriff's Office ever issued this notice; all of the notices that can be traced back to official government accounts make no mention of the MAGA hat. Speculating to some degree, either one of two situations is likely: Either the Sheriff's Office issued the Alert including the detail of the MAGA hat, but corrected that report later on OR this was the work of malign actors that, as a missing person case was ongoing, immediately issued forged Amber Alert notices, altering the details of a missing person so as to sensationalize the news story. Considering the implication of the latter, this needs to be investigated more thoroughly; not enough detail exists at the moment to know for sure what happened. If the Sheriff's Office was mistaken in their description (but later corrected their mistake), fair enough, these things happen during the fog of war as part of immediate and time-sensitive rescue operations. However, if authorities NEVER mentioned the MAGA hat detail, and that part was forged by media from the very start, we may have bigger problems at hand. The origin of this "MAGA hat" detail is important, but even so nearly every media outlet repeated this detail exclusively, even though right now it's nearly impossible to find the origin of this initial claim. Only one screenshot of this allegedly "initial" Amber Alert notice exists, so if this was a genuine error that was corrected, it was corrected immediately and most journalists somehow managed to not update their stories. Erring on the side of caution, this is a very strong and serious reminder to ALWAYS receive missing person reports from official government accounts, not reposts or screenshots. Missing person reports and many other types of potentially criminal situations are squarely in the realm of what tax dollars pay for; nobody wants to trust government sources for anything these days (which is fair enough), but in doing so many people forget that no "independent journalist" answers the phone when someone calls 911. Missing person cases are squarely in the realm of having to go by what authorities publish, and if those details change, it's best to get those details right from the primary source...because the secondary sources might be altering details of the case. The British government is set to implement a mandatory digital ID system that will be required for all British citizens to be allowed to function in society. Europe: Drone incursions have continued over the past few days, with limited reports of drone incursions popping up in Norway and Denmark. Overnight, more drones were spotted over the port city of Korsor, along with a handful of airports scattered around the country. Analyst Comment: Right now it's hard to tell if these drone reports are any different than the standard incursions that have become common in civilian aviation over the past few years. When an airport sends out a hazard report to pilots, a description of "UAS activity" doesn't really indicate much. What is quite clear is that the initial drone reports in Denmark were vastly different than most of the typical quadcopter reports that are more common. However, now that media attention is on the skies once again, it's possible that more drone sightings will be reported. It's also very likely that, now that people are paying attention, more people will confuse legitimate drone threats with commercial aircraft, as has been a trend lately. -HomeFront- Mississippi: This morning 911 call center services went offline for the entire state, which local authorities state were caused by a "series of fiber optic cuts". Analyst Comment: Right now it's not clear as to if this was the result of malign action, or by accident. Generally speaking it would be a bad idea for an entire state's critical infrastructure to be vulnerable to one swipe of a backhoe, but it's certainly possible. Illinois: A Chicago police officer has been indicted for smuggling weapons for cartels in Mexico. The indictment states that Officer Kevin Rodriguez used his law enforcement credentials to purchase firearms that were illegal for normal citizens to buy in the states of Illinois and Indiana. He was then paid by a cartel member by the name of Diego Valdez, who took possession of the firearms and smuggled them into Mexico. Analyst Comment: This scheme allegedly ran from September to December of 2024, and so far all of the court documents indicate that only two rifles were smuggled into Mexico. However, this may be a larger network, as these types of arrangements usually go on for some time before they are detected. Alaska: This morning US Air Force aircraft were scrambled to intercept Russian bombers off the west coast. A flight of Russian Tu-95 BEAR H aircraft were observed approaching the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ), which prompted American aircraft to intercept them and escort them during their flight near American airspace. Analyst Comment: This is a fairly standard event that usually goes unnoticed most of the time. However, this case is probably related to President Trump's recent comments on Russia's incursions in Europe, namely stating that European powers should shoot down Russian aircraft that violate their airspace. New York: As the UN General Assembly continues, President Trump met with the new leader of Syria, Ahmed Al-Sharq, where he is expected to be a focal point of this year's summit. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: As a reminder, Ahmed Al-Sharq changed his name upon seizing power a few months ago. His previous name was Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, a high-ranking al-Qaeda commander from the Global War on Terror. Upon his AQ-linked militia group seizing power during the fall of the Assad regime, he changed his name and now has very positive relations with most of the western world. MULTIPLE ACTIVIST GROUPS CONTINUE TO URGE VIOLENT ATTACKS.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -HomeFront- Texas: At approximately 06:40 this morning the ICE detention facility on North Stemmons Freeway was targeted by a sniper, who engaged targets from the roof of a two-story office building directly west of the ICE facility. No ICE agents were hurt during the attack, but 1x detainee was killed, and 2x others were wounded, both of which remain in critical condition. The shooter has been identified as Joshua Jahn, who was found deceased on the roof of the office building. Nevada: This afternoon a shooting was reported at Nellis Air Force Base, which resulted in Security Forces shooting one individual. Local authorities state that a man approached the main gate firing a weapon, before being challenged and subsequently shot by base security. The individual survived the engagement, and was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for a non-life-threatening wound to his arm. No word yet on the suspect's name, and no base personnel were wounded during the engagement. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Around the nation, various armed groups have made increasingly more public attempts to organize and plan operations. This afternoon locals observed flyers being placed around Georgetown to advertise the John Brown Gun Club, a far-left armed militant organization directly tied to ANTIFA and the attempted bombing of an ICE detention facility in 2019. Regarding ANTIFA, various daily riots and civil unrest continues in the usual strongholds of Seattle and Portland, with smaller demonstrations and protests taking place at various places around the country. In Eugene, Oregon a small group of ANTIFA members attempted to besiege the ICE facility before several arrests were made. Separately, in New York threats to a Presidential visit to Farmingdale have come to light from the 50501 movement, which is organizing "protests" to target President Trump during the Ryder Cup event that he is scheduled to attend on Friday. Flyers have been posted sporting the typical thinly-veiled rhetoric that is extremely common among far-left activist groups, with one flyer announcing "protest" times by using the phrase "Early bird gets the Trump". The 50501 movement is a self-described anti-Trump political movement, most of which involves violent rhetoric that has expanded to include counter-ICE targeting efforts. Even as recently as a few days ago, this group was openly and clearly posting calls to shoot ICE agents on Reddit, with no hint of any opposition to their attack planning being conducted in the open. In Dallas, the FBI released an image of a stripper clip found at the sniper's position, which featured the words "Anti-ICE" written on at least one of the bullets. Consequently, it's very likely that this individual was attempting to target ICE agents arriving for work, randomly shooting into the building at an unmarked van that was attempting to enter the facility through the sallyport to the rear of the building. Instead of successfully hitting ICE agents, the shooter fired blindly into the structure, and accidentally shot three detainees who were being transported inside the van. Sometimes, malign actors come about (or are activated) to conduct attacks for reasons that are not immediately discernible (though usually residing in the general realm of mental illness). Regarding this case however, the general motive is quite clear; the bullet holes in the facility don't leave much room for doubt. Shooting up an ICE office with "Anti-ICE" written on the bullets is about as clear of a motive as is possible to convey. Despite this, there will be endless speculation regarding most of these types of events; every possible motive will be thrown out as a theory. Either way, the internet will do internet things, but the risk remains the same: real people are dead and the open threats and calls for this exact type of violence continue to escalate all around. More broadly, many groups have learned from the effectiveness of the Kirk assassination, and are now making good on the threats they have been shouting for years. And as illustrated by the Dallas shooting, there are other big-picture concerns besides the immediate crime scene, which complicate the situation even more. RYAN ROUTH FOUND GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Europe: The drone shenanigans continued throughout much of the night in Copenhagen, with footage from eyewitnesses indicating that the aircraft that were observed were much larger than the standard quadcopters that are usually the culprits regarding airspace violations. Analyst Comment: So far there has been no indication of what this situation was all about, but the aircraft were fairly heavily documented. The aerial platforms weren't exactly operating covertly, but they did leave on their own. Considering the overall tensions in Europe, most speculation has pointed to these being Russian drones, or if not Russian in origin, something to do with the war. Either way, there's no way to know for sure at the moment. -HomeFront- Florida: This afternoon, Ryan Routh, the second would-be Trump assassin was found guilty on all counts pertaining to the attempted shooting at the Trump International Golf Club in September of last year. Upon the verdict being announced Routh attempted to stab himself with a pen, unsuccessfully trying to injure himself. Routh was briefly removed from the courtroom, after this incident, before being returned to conclude the trial. Analyst Comment: As a reminder, Routh chose (and was allowed) to represent himself after he felt discrepancies with his court-appointed team of attorneys, and thus was granted more leeway during this trial. Considering that he had written a note confessing to the crime in explicit detail, his arguments were unsuccessful, leading to his conviction on all counts. New York: Yesterday evening the US Secret Service announced the dismantling of a major telecommunications threat allegedly targeting the UN General Assembly currently underway in New York City. The USSS uncovered a series of locations concentrated around the UN building, which were configured to degrade communications around the city, mostly in the form of hundreds of SIM servers and around 100,000 SIM cards. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: At face value, these locations appear to be configured to swamp cell towers with increased traffic, so as to degrade cellular networks. As to why this attack vector was chosen, it's anyone's guess. Normally, attacks that are meant to degrade (but not exploit) a certain communications method are used as a way of social engineering...if a target's cell phone doesn't work, they might be inclined to use a different comms method that is more easily surveilled. Though this is pure speculation, what is very clear is that there is a very high likelihood that the UN General Assembly would be a target for many different malign actors, to include nationstate-level intelligence operations. There are many different ways to target a meeting of world leaders that is vastly easier than strategically renting apartments around the city, to fill with a bunch of electronic hardware. In their press release on the operation, the USSS did not comment on what exactly these sites were being used for; their statements were more generalized, and that these locations could be used for a wide range of attacks and surveillance operations. VIOLENT ATTACKS CONTINUE AROUND UNITED STATES. PRESIDENT TRUMP DESIGNATES ANTIFA AS DOMESTIC TERRORIST ORGANIZATION.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Europe: Copenhagen Airport remains shut down as multiple drones continue to interfere with flight operations. The airport initially issued a temporary ground stop for all arrivals/departures, which as of this report has been extended until 5:00 a.m. local time. Separately, a military base in Oslo, Norway was placed on a heightened state of readiness due to drone reports as well, which resulted in the arrest of two Singaporean nationals who were operating a civilian drone over the military base. -HomeFront- New York: This week, the United Nations General Assembly has begun, with most of the noteworthy actions so far being the recognition of Palestinian statehood from a few nations. Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and a handful of others have been the biggest power-players to add to the list of nations which have recognized the legitimacy of the Palestinian government. Analyst Comment: As with most diplomatic endeavors in the region, this move will probably result in very little impact overall. Most of these recent recognitions are probably last-ditch political moves to urge a two-state solution at the eleventh hour. Nevertheless, these statements will probably draw the ire of the United States to some degree, which is still negotiating trade deals with some of these nations. Washington D.C. - Over the weekend the White House backtracked on the recent changes to the H-1B visa system. Despite Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick stating in the Oval Office on the day of the announcement that the $100,000 fee for visas was per employee per year, the White House issued a "fact sheet" that reversed these statements, and that this is a one-time payment for companies seeking to hire non-American workers. Also in Washington, President Trump signed the Executive Action this afternoon designating ANTIFA as a Domestic Terrorist Organization. Analyst Comment: And now we wait. The verbiage of the order itself is not entirely indicative of how various federal agencies will respond to this, or what the outcome will be. Ordering agencies to police crimes that are already illegal isn't much help, but moving forward the most obvious theory is that federal terrorism charges might get slapped on any ANTIFA "Direct Action" attacks which are fairly standard in most major cities during periods of heightened tension. Only time will tell if various federal agencies are serious, though. Mississippi: On Saturday a hit-and-run accident was reported in Gulfport, which resulted in the death of a cyclist. Xavier Omar Rigby was arrested after hitting the victim with his vehicle, and driving approximately 8 blocks with her body on the hood of his car. Rigby fled the scene without calling 911, and was later arrested in St. Petersburg. California: The gunman which attacked an ABC broadcast station in Sacramento was detained over the weekend. Federal authorities state that Anibal Hernandez-Santana (an attorney, activist, and political lobbyist) conducted a drive-by shooting at the ABC Channel 10 television station in Sacramento. Analyst Comment: The motive for this shooting has not yet been released, but the shooter's posts on social media indicate the motivations for this attack. Even his own attorney has stated that the primary method of prosecuting him (besides the bullet holes in the ABC station) will be the radical posts that his client made on social media. New Hampshire: A mass shooting was reported over the weekend in Nashua, as a gunman targeted a wedding ceremony at the Sky Meadow Country Club. Local authorities arrested Hunter Nadeau at the scene, after event goers tackled him to stop the shooting. Despite these best efforts, one individual was killed in the attack, and around 6x people in total were wounded. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Regarding the motive for the Nashua attack, witnesses state that the shooter shouted pro-Palestine statements during the shooting. However, investigators have stated that the shooter actually shouted many different statements so as to cause confusion during the attack and obscure his true motive. Right now there is not enough evidence in the public eye to determine what the true motive for the attack was with absolute certainty, but there are many indicators that should be noted. For one, targeting a wedding reception is an unusual choice for a terror attack since it is usually something that is not really on the radar of many would-be attackers...there are far more reliable targets for malign actors to select, as opposed to a wedding which is not explicitly a political target. Secondly, the wedding appears to have been for an Italian family, causing even more questions as to why an allegedly pro-Palestine activist would target this event. What is more likely right now is that this individual was determined to conduct a shooting for one reason or another and chose this venue due to a personal connection...the shooter allegedly used to work for this country club and therefore knew the location. Details are hard to verify, however users noted that they could not access the Bible Gateway app from a British or European IP address yesterday afternoon. In a statement posted to their website, the app was reportedly offline due to "technical issues". Some time after this notice was posted, the main support website was taken down completely. Analyst Comment: It's not clear as to if this is a technical problem unrelated to censorship efforts, or if this website was taken offline due to noncompliance with the Online Safety Act. Either way, this app has a very large userbase, so answers will be sought regarding what is going on. Estonia: This morning several Russian fighter aircraft reportedly violated Estonian airspace. Estonia stated that 3x Russian MiG-31 fighters entered their airspace, remaining inside Estonia for 12 minutes before departing. 3x Italian F-35's were scrambled to respond to the incursion, though it is unclear as to if the Russian aircraft were actually intercepted. This morning Estonia enacted Article 4 of the NATO charter, which mandates a meeting of NATO to discuss the incident. This afternoon, Polish authorities reported that 2x Russian fighter aircraft conducted a low-pass flyover of a Polish oil rig platform in the Baltic Sea. -HomeFront- Utah: A truck driver was arrested yesterday after a minor traffic incident led to the discovery of two children in the back of his truck. Jacob Ortell Scott was arrested after two girls (aged 12 and 14) were found in the refrigerated trailer he was hauling, which turned out to be his sisters. Analyst Comment: Very few details have become public regarding this strange case, but local journalists are set on this not being a human trafficking case, simply because the driver was related to the children in his trailer. This is not a certainty, and the mere act itself is exceptionally suspicious; this could have been trafficking or attempted murder, or anything in between. Illinois: This morning local tensions flared in Chicago as activists have intensified operations to disrupt ICE, with local politicians urging resistance to deportations as well. Various ICE facilities around the city have been targeted by demonstrators attempting to prevent access to the facilities. Several federal vehicles have been attacked and the tires slashed by rioters, and a few dozen protesters (mostly led by local politicians or political candidates) remained demonstrating outside federal facilities throughout the day. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Violating Estonia's airspace is a classic Russian pastime, so even though Estonia is (understandably) freaking out about it, this incident is the fourth time airspace violations have been reported this year alone. This is mostly due to where the airspace violations are taking place...over the Gulf of Finland. Due to the very tight geography of the region, Russia can very easily violate Estonia's airspace by flying across the east-west corridor over the Gulf. Most of the time, Russia uses this as a way of poking Estonia and thus conveying their regional power to NATO. In this case, Russia chose to "poke" this time using MiG-31s...a platform that was a powerhouse during the Cold War, but is a bit dated today and is in the process of being phased out. This is probably an attempt to bully Estonia (again, as Russia is known to do), but in such a manner that is "softer" than sending Su-35's or another more modern platform. Nevertheless, the Cold War antics will continue to escalate as diplomatic efforts continue to be undertaken to end the war in Ukraine. Analyst: S2A1 Research:

Analyst Comment: The network does not care about the crass statements that were made, as it encouraged this behavior for many years. However, getting their license yanked at a time where their ratings are already down would not have been a positive outcome for them. Washington D.C. - Yesterday evening President Trump stated his intent to designate ANTIFA as a terrorist organization on social media. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Beyond President Trump's short post on social media, no details have been provided on this designation yet, or how it's going to work out paperwork-wise. ANTIFA certainly has foreign roots, but in most cases is not explicitly foreign-controlled, so a designation by the State Department as being an FTO might not be an adequate fit. Nevertheless, if the intent is to create a label that ensures more federal charges can be pursued against militants (instead of the catch-and-release that ANTIFA is used to), there are plenty of options. The White House is probably also looking at RICO options regarding the bail-fund practices for ANTIFA members, which have industrialized the process of rotating through the court system. More directly, ANTIFA activities are certain to increase due to this designation, whatever it works out to be. Low-level demonstrations are certain to take place in the usual areas, and more kinetic "Direct Action" attacks are also quite likely to spring up, though larger efforts may take some time to organize. Either way, ANTIFA can certainly mobilize faster than government forces can respond in most cases, though the biggest barriers to ANTIFA operations right now are funding and a lack of coherent picture at higher levels of organization. For many years, ANTIFA has had no natural predators in their environment, and has been allowed to conduct all manner of activities without any sort of barriers at all. Designating this group as a terrorist organization also isn't really necessary; almost all ANTIFA publications directly state that they seek to use violence to further their political goals...which is the textbook definition of terrorism. Where a federal "terrorism" label (however it works out) can be applied, is in cases where local prosecutors won't prosecute terrorist attacks, or more importantly, in the dismantling of the financial networks which have openly been operating under shady LLCs and nonprofit groups, which have acted as shell corporations for ANTIFA funding sources. EOD personnel were dispatched to examine the bag, which was determined to be a false-alarm. Alabama: This morning, one medevac helicopter was struck with effective Surface-to-Air Fire (SAFIRE) in the vicinity of County Road 51 in Autauga County. Local authorities arrested Peter Ellison for shooting a Life Flight helicopter in the process of responding to a medical emergency. Analyst Comment: So far most of the sources on this attack are Ukrainian, so not entirely the most impartial resources for determining what happened. Authorities continuing the investigation have stated that Zinn stated that he intended to draw attention away from the real shooter, to allow the assassin to escape. Washington D.C. - This morning FBI Director Kash Patel testified before Congress on a variety of issues. Analyst Comment: Most of the testimony today was only remarkable for the entertainment value, though Patel did continue to raise suspicions (as has become a nearly-daily occurrence) regarding Jeffrey Epstein, stating that Epstein did not traffic anyone to other individuals. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Almost a week after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the number of inconsistencies and accomplices remains the same as before. If George Zinn did not have prior knowledge of the attack (as insinuated by investigators) the initial knee-jerk reaction to help out an unknown assassin in the seconds after a brutal murder is very odd at best, or psychopathic at worst. Zinn does have a long history of agitation and mental illness, so at this point it's hard to determine if he is just crazy or a legitimate and pre-planned accomplice to the murder. This afternoon, the alleged text messages between Tyler Robinson and his transgender accomplice were released, mostly pertaining to communications between the two apparently after the attack (though no timestamps on these messages were provided). These communications (among other things) indicate that the rifle was covertly stolen from the suspect's grandfather prior to the murder. Otherwise, the tone of the messages as released is somewhat unusual, and may be an indication of a pre-established alibi, knowing that these messages would be evidence at some point. Other terminology seems suspicious, leading to concerns that the messages might be fabricated or altered in some way, a speculative theory that is backed up by the inclusion of ellipses in the provided text which confirms that parts of the conversations have been omitted before release (though to what degree remains unclear). Right now there's no way to confirm the authenticity of these messages either way, and much more information and investigation is needed to determine exactly what took place. However even without digging in to the messages, the general gist of the case so far is that it's overwhelmingly unlikely that Tyler Robinson acted alone. More broadly, the expansion of investigations into other accomplices continues, as many statements from investigators have indicated the list of accomplices is wider than previously thought (by the FBI, at least). These individuals are currently being investigated, and at least one individual was directly told by Robinson that he intended to kill Charlie Kirk. This line of effort has been named the Memphis Safe Task Force. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: There is a difference between someone making crass comments, and attack planning. Turns out, in the Kirk assassination, there is nearly-complete overlap between these two distinctions: The same types of people who celebrated Kirk's death, also ended up taking the next step to endorse legitimate terror attacks. It is this careful distinction that we must consider over the next few weeks as the situation remains hot. Around the United States, many leftist groups are organizing, using the Kirk assassination as a method of unity and shared values. For most armed far-left militia groups, this organization is still mostly in the Public Relations phase, using the assassination to move the goalposts toward normalizing violence against the political right (more than it already is). In Arizona, the memorial to Kirk was vandalized during a vigil. The assailant was wearing the same shirt as Kirk's alleged killer, as has been common over the past few days. ANNAPOLIS SHOOTING DISCOVERED TO BE THE RESULT OF HOAX CALL, ONE MIDSHIPMAN WOUNDED IN FRIENDLY-FIRE.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -HomeFront- Utah: This morning federal authorities confirmed that one individual was in custody who is assessed to have been Charlie Kirk's assassin. Tyler Robinson was physically detained at his home by his father, who turned him in after recognizing him as the shooter. This afternoon, during a press conference, Utah Governor Spencer Cox conveyed additional information that was compiled by the FBI on the shooting. He stated that text messages were recovered between the alleged shooter, and his roommate. During an interview with the FBI, the alleged killer's roommate volunteered to show investigators Discord messages between himself and the shooter. These messages involved the shooter stating that he needed to recover the rifle from a drop point located in a bush, wrapped in a towel. Additional messages were noted referencing engraving bullets. Analyst Comment: Information manipulation is already well out of control regarding this individual. For example, earlier today a Twitter/X account posted a photoshopped version of a photo of the suspected killer, which depicted Robinson wearing a Trump t-shirt, with the caption "Tired of these terrorists". The same exact account owned up to their fake information, but as this account has over 5 million followers, the damage had already been done. Robinson has zero ties to any sort of conservative politician or party, all of his associations are via politically left organizations. Nevertheless this is a common tactic used by many organizations; posting two messages/photos at nearly the same time, one of which is fake and the other either an apology or a correction. The fake content gets boosted in the algorithm and amplified everywhere, but the quiet correction never makes the rounds. This is a very tired tactic to evade both being banned on social media, along with criminal prosecution. In the age of AI, there are probably tens of millions of people who are seeing these fake images (not just from this one account, but many others as well), and due to everyone being in their own ideological bubble, there are significant efforts underway to make people think the shooter was a "far-right terrorist", instead of the overwhelming evidence that suggests otherwise. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Yesterday's reported shooting at the US Naval Academy turned out to be another hoax like the other reported shootings, but the response to the hoax involved the friendly-fire shooting of one student. Authorities state that a former student at the Academy made threats of violence online, though he was able to spoof his IP address (or conduct some similar effort) to make it appear as though he was still at the Academy. A campus-wide alert was sent out regarding the threats, and initial reports circulated among students that the shooter was attempting to pose as a police officer to gain access to more victims. In reality, the individual that was spotted was a genuine police officer, one of the first to arrive on scene, working to clear the facility of threats. This resulted in a case of mistaken identity that resulted in the real shooting taking place. When the officer was attempting to gain entry to one building, a Midshipman attempted to beat the officer to death with a non-functioning parade rifle, thinking that he was the shooter. This Midshipman was shot in the arm by the officer, with the officer thinking that *he* was the shooter. After the Midshipman was shot, the situation of mistaken identity became clear, and the Midshipman was airlifted to a local area hospital, where he his expected to survive. This case is a reminder that everyone can do everything right, and casualties still be the end result. Nothing less than violence of action should be expected from any Midshipman during a situation like this; any cadet worthy of command in any branch of the US Armed Forces would have acted thusly to stop the attack and prevent harm from becoming others. Attempting to halt a potential active shooter with an inert rifle is a testament to this midshipman's dedication. //The Wire//2300Z September 11, 2025// //ROUTINE// //BLUF: CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSIN REMAINS AT LARGE AS THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES. MULTIPLE HOAX SWATTING INCIDENTS REPORTED AT UNIVERSITIES AROUND THE NATION. CUBAN ILLEGAL ARRESTED AFTER BRUTAL MURDER AT DALLAS HOTEL. SHOOTING REPORTED AT US NAVAL ACADEMY IN ANNAPOLIS.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -HomeFront- Utah: The situation regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk continues to develop, with many new details coming to light overnight. At the moment, multiple individuals seem to be involved in this case in one way or another: One actual shooter, and many more persons that caused confusion during the initial reaction to the shooting. The individual identified as George Zinn was initially arrested after he verbally confessed to the crime, stating that he was the shooter. He screamed "I did it" and "shoot me" immediately as the shot was heard. This could have been a case of mental illness (as Zinn has a criminal history that reflects such and he was known to authorities for this kind of thing) or this could also have been an intentional act of diversion to allow the real shooter time to escape. Whatever the intent was, this did function as a diversionary tactic, and the shooter was able to egress from the area. Nevertheless, local reports state that Zinn was released from custody. Another unidentified individual was initially arrested at the scene as well, in possession of a pellet rifle. No further information regarding this individual's status at this time. Idaho: A fight broke out at a candlelight vigil at the Idaho Capitol (which was arranged to memorialize Charlie Kirk) when leftist activists began to interrupt proceedings. Several leftist demonstrators were removed after they attempted to gain entry to the crowd and scream obscenities during the vigil. Colorado: Yesterday afternoon a school shooting was reported at Evergreen High School near Denver. Local authorities state that Desmond Holly, a 16-year-old student at the school, shot two students before taking his own life. Texas: Yesterday afternoon a woman was beheaded at a motel in Dallas. Local authorities state that Yordanis Cobo-Martinez, an illegal migrant from Cuba, murdered his employer (Chandra Nagamallaiah) with a machete after a brief argument at the Downtown Suites Hotel. Cobo-Martinez was arrested at the scene. Maryland: This afternoon, an active shooter was reported at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis. This is a developing situation at this time, but initial reports indicate that a former Midshipmen returned to the institution to conduct the attack. Early reports indicate as many as 1-3 casualties, however the scene is still locked down at this time. More details to follow as information becomes available. USA: This afternoon the recent wave of swatting calls flared up again, with several calls being made around Boston this afternoon. An active shooter situation was reported at the University of Massachusetts (UMass), which turned out to be a hoax. Several other locations around Boston were also host to swatting incidents, which also were hoaxes. This morning a bomb threat was called in to the DNC headquarters in Washington, which was also confirmed to be a hoax. Throughout the afternoon the University of Central Florida also reported a similar hoax being called in at their campus. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: When it comes to risk assessment and mitigation, making decisions based on details that are speculative is acceptable if time is of the essence, such as when a high-profile assassin is still on the loose. However, it would be wise to focus on the details that help with that assessment, rather than getting dragged down rabbit holes that eat up time that we don't have. Panicking helps no one, and though it is a challenging skill to develop when the general mood is that of extreme anger, remaining calm and collected during a crisis is the option that will help the most people. The real distinction that must be noted is whether or not the persons that caused diversions, knew of the attack ahead of time. Several people were observed cheering in the crowd, George Zinn shouted and was tackled, and others were behaving suspiciously in and around the venue during the bedlam after the shooting. Right now there is not much linking all of these individuals together definitively, beyond the common goal of disrupting events. For a terror cell to be indicated, the individuals identified would have to know each other and have communicated ahead of time, which is not possible to determine at the moment based on open source information. The individual spotted on top of the roof before the shooting (the person who appears to have been the actual shooter) might not have been the actual shooter either. The exceptionally graphic video evidence of the attack might be playing tricks on the eyes; the wound that was visible in the video evidence so far may have in actuality been an exit wound for a shot that came from Kirk's 4 o' clock position. Some video evidence supports this, however much higher quality footage (such as from the professional media equipment recording the rally) will be necessary to determine if that is a viable line of investigative effort. Again, focusing on details that can help find the killer and eliminate future threats is worth the speculation, especially as the FBI has stated that they recovered the rifle used to conduct the attack from a wooded treeline near the campus. This rifle appears to have sported an optic which was mounted too far too the rear to provide a feasible shooting platform. This detail has caused many to doubt that this rifle was the one used in the shooting (as in, it's yet another decoy), or that the shooter did not have the experience to know that the scope was in the wrong position for it to be used properly. In short: If this rifle was used, the suspect is either of a very small body type (much smaller than the suspects sought so far), or they are now sporting a facial wound caused by the recoil of the firearm driving the scope into their face. Or, this rifle was not used at all, and whomever staged it did not have the forethought to position the scope correctly. As with most high-profile events like this, some discrepancy among the initial details is very much expected. However, there is a LOT of debate right now regarding whether or not the murder of Charlie Kirk was a professional assassination. Right now, all of the evidence in the public eye suggests that Kirk could have been killed in a more coordinated manner (as in more than one person might have been involved), but also by someone displaying very amateur tradecraft. On the other hand, if the multiple misdirections were deliberately planted to confuse and slow down investigative efforts, this would be a strong indicator of more organized planning. Sometimes the most likely explanation is the simplest, and based on the sheer number of people celebrating his murder the chances of this being one of the usual suspects is rather high, even though the door must remain open to other possibilities. The cold hard truth right now is that regardless of how Kirk was killed, he was killed for a reason. And right now there are millions of people celebrating his murder, both online and in the real world. It is this important observation that will have lasting impact for some time, both in terms of societal shift, but also in terms of real-world threats and security concerns. Charlie Kirk was a moderate conservative. Despite what the mainstream media says, he was one of the few conservative commentators willing to actually speak face-to-face with his opposition and debate them in open forum. He was not a politician or an elected official who could make policy; the most impact that he could possibly have had was simply to change minds by speaking to people. He could have made a living shouting his ideas from a safe podcast studio, but he chose instead to speak to people in person at these types of public debates over the years. There are a thousand people in the public eye more "radical" than he was, yet he was the one killed for it. Much like many other political assassinations throughout history, sometimes the more impactful events involve the removal of the last peaceful option, or the last peaceful moderate. Time will tell if this troubling idea is true, but it's possible that with Charlie Kirk died the last hope for reconciliation between a large portion of the United States. The knee-jerk reactions of this horrific murder being that of joy and celebration from a large number of people, is abhorrent to the degree of indicating that there is little chance of cooperation or lasting peace with a good portion of the nation. Regardless of one's political beliefs, this is a sobering reminder in the context of how millions of people are now openly calling for the violent murder of conservatives, solely for the crime of not being politically liberal. Even in "far-right" circles, which agreed with Kirk on nearly zero issues, the general mood is that of mourning. The *actual* "far-right" in this country has shown more decency for a man who they did not agree with and a man who has admonished them publicly, than most center-left personalities who have bloodlust in their hearts regarding this case. More broadly, this means that these types of attacks will unfortunately continue. Whether it's organic or not can be argued later, but what's clear is that most big voices on the political left are either openly calling for continued violence, or are behaving without a single shred of human decency. Most Democrat politicians interviewed today by the media on this event have become belligerent on the subject, with some going so far as to interrupt a moment of silence for Kirk at the Capitol. A similar incident was observed today at the European Parliament as well. There is already enough spin, distraction, commentary, and speculation regarding the exact details of the murder. What would be a more productive line of effort is to be aware of the societal atmospherics surrounding this case (as in the threats that continue to persist), but not dwelling on the evil that is consuming the world. Acknowledge where we are at, conduct risk assessments, and mitigate those risks as best you can. Despair and apathy will solve no problems, and there will be plenty of opportunity to keep focus on moving forward and doing good wherever possible. VIOLENT MURDER SUSPECT REMAINS FUGITIVE IN NEW YORK. //  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Poland: Yesterday evening multiple Russian drones were observed flying out of the warzone in Ukraine and into Polish airspace. Polish military authorities issued various airspace closures and scrambled aircraft to intercept these drones. U.S. Air Force aircraft were also observed responding to the crisis, having scrambled at least one F-35 to attempt to find the drones. As the crisis developed Poland issued a large-scale shelter-in-place order, encompassing much of the eastern regions of the country, home to roughly 9 million people. No one was killed, and none of the drones appear to have been targeting anything in Poland as roughly a dozen drones were discovered crashed in farmers fields in eastern districts of the country. Analyst Comment: So far, the number of drones that entered Polish airspace has varied. Most reports seem to settle on a figure of around a dozen drones of varying type, but the true number has not been confirmed. Poland did confirm that several drones were shot down inside their airspace, though the exact number was not provided. -HomeFront- Utah: This afternoon Charlie Kirk was assassinated at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University in Orem. Analyst Comment: This is a developing situation at the time of this report, and the situation remains very dynamic and multiple malign actors may be involved. After the shot, an elderly man (who was identified as George Zinn) was tackled in the crowd by those who thought he was the shooter. After some time, it became clear that Zinn was not the shooter but actually an agitator of some sort. While this is speculative, this individual behaved as though he may have been a spotter and/or an intentional distraction from the actual shooter, who may have taken the shot from an elevated position some distance away from the event. Some video evidence from the scene does indicate that an individual was spotted lying prone in a tactical position on the roof of an adjacent building. This afternoon, the FBI stated that they had one suspect in custody, other than the individual identified as George Zinn. More details to follow as information becomes available. North Carolina: Societal tensions remain extremely high following the release of the full murder tape of Iryna Zarutska. President Trump has called for the death penalty to be applied in this case, and the extremely shocking and disturbing nature of the murder is causing larger questions to be asked. Analyst Comment: In short, this horrific murder (and now along with that of Charlie Kirk) has moved the goalposts toward an acknowledgement of reality more than anything in recent memory. The defense is also trying to tee up an insanity defense, releasing statements that suggest the killer might have been mentally ill. However, the audio from the murder tape confirms that the murderer had planned and pre-established a story for the murder, stating that the victim had provoked him in some way (which the tape also confirms she did not do). Considering that the murderer will be tried by a jury of his peers probably *in Charlotte*, this is an important distinction to remember. Washington D.C. - Yesterday the Bureau of Labor Statistics posted the annual revisions to the jobs report, which revised the total number of jobs created last year. Out of the roughly 1.7 million jobs allegedly created last year, a little over 911,000 jobs were revised downwards, which is the largest recorded revision on record. Analyst Comment: This jobs report means that 51% of all of the jobs reported last year...never existed. The books were cooked to double the number of actual jobs that existed, which is similar to what happened in 2023, but to a more extreme degree. New York: A manhunt is underway for a suspect who conducted two murders on Monday. An elderly couple was murdered in an exceptionally graphic manner during a home invasion in Queens, before their home was set on fire. The suspect has been identified as Jemel McGriff, who remains at large. McGriff is considered armed and dangerous, and has a three-decade history of violent crime. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Further details have come to light regarding the Israeli attack on the Hamas negotiating team in Doha yesterday. What was originally reported as one single strike may have been several (some fairly unreliable sources claim up to 12x separate strikes). Either way these strikes were coordinated to hit as many diplomats as possible. More broadly, every detail that emerges regarding this case is a twist of the knife for the Qataris. For instance, ADS-B traffic indicated that the British were also involved in the strike, using their tanker aircraft that were stationed in Qatar itself to refuel the Israeli aircraft that conducted the attack. It's a fairly sobering gut-punch when one of your nation's guests provides materiel support to the forces that just attacked your nation. Even worse was the simple geographical reality that Israeli aircraft would have had to have transited through Saudi Arabia to conduct the attack...and be refueled along the way. The Saudis have not confirmed their involvement, however they probably would not admit to allowing the Israelis access anyway. Despite the betrayal of nearly all of their allies, Qatari leadership has handled the situation with more decorum than expected, and has made statements that they are still interested in being involved in the peace process, as fruitless as it has become. Admin Comment: Just as a brief reminder, tomorrow is the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. While there aren't any direct threats that remain actionable, this week has already been host to extreme societal upheaval and very public displays of violence. The American Embassy has issued a shelter-in-place order for American citizens throughout the country. Analyst Comment: This is a big deal. It's one thing to bomb Gaza, Lebanon, or Syria, but it's a major escalation to bomb a nation with serious power throughout the region. Bombing the country that is currently mediating the war they are fighting also effectively eliminates any chance of peace. Nepal: Overnight the Nepalese government was overthrown in chaos after widespread demonstrations broke out regarding corruption issues in government. In the span of just a few hours, these demonstrations expanded to include demonstrators breaching the Parliamentary compound, which resulted in security forces opening fire on the crowds, killing 19x people. A few minutes after these shootings, more demonstrators stormed the Parliament building and set it on fire. Most of the residences of high ranking government officials were also breached and burned. Several high-level Ministers were severely beaten, including the Finance Minister, who was observed being dragged through the streets. One of Nepal's former PM's was also beaten severely, but for now is still alive. Current Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has resigned and was able to escape Kathmandu via helicopter. Most of the government has resigned, and many cabinet ministers remain unaccounted for. Analyst Comment: As with most information from Britain these days, the veracity of most of the above information is hard to verify simply due to the lockdown on speech. Nevertheless, it doesn't really seem to matter that much now; the situation is spiraling into a state of uncertainty regardless of the minute details. This morning, a Banksy work was discovered painted on the side of Royal Courts of Justice, which featured the image of a judge attacking a protester. This thinly-veiled statement on the issues with the court's censorship efforts was made worse by the court immediately covering up the image upon it's discovery and setting up guards over it to prevent people from seeing it. In the United Kingdom nobody messes with a Banksy work and escapes unscathed, especially one so on-the-nose as this. As such, the dousing of gasoline on the societal bonfire continues, with very little chance of the situation de-escalating anytime soon. France: This morning the French government collapsed following a vote of no-confidence in Parliament. Prime Minister Francois Bayrou has resigned after losing the vote, with much speculation abounding regarding who Macron will choose to replace him. Analyst Comment: Some media sources speculate that since Macron has appointed right-leaning (by French standards) Prime Ministers twice now, there is growing pressure to appoint Olivier Faure, the current leader of the Socialist Party. Red Sea/HOA: Sunday afternoon internet disruptions were observed as multiple undersea communications cables were cut in the southern Red Sea. The IMEWE cable (which mostly serves India) and the SMW4 cable (which serves India and southwest Asia) were cut, along with the FALCON GCX which serves internet traffic to Kuwait. Analyst Comment: No word yet on what caused this cable cutting. Anchor dragging incidents are common in the area, along with more direct cable-cutting efforts that are intended to be perceived as "accidents". In either case, repairs will take some time, so it may be a while before any solid evidence on the cause of the damage comes to light. Far East: Japan's Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba resigned yesterday afternoon, following his closing of the trade deals with the United States. Local authorities arrested Harold Rashad Dabney III for the murder, after being apprehended driving the victim's vehicle. North Carolina: Tensions remain high following the release of surveillance footage that documents the extremely brutal recent attack on the city's light rail system. The video as released very clearly shows Decarlos Brown Jr. murdering Iryna Zarutska on the train system, which has resulted in tensions rising due to Brown being a habitual criminal with a long rap sheet. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Though it is not surprising in the slightest for Charlotte, local officials have handled this incident exceptionally poorly which has contributed to rising dissent. For instance, the City Council scheduled a meeting last Tuesday to determine the measures to be taken to increase security on the city's public transit systems. After the media were in position, and the council session was already in progress, the City Council halted proceedings so that they could hold a birthday party for Dimple Ajemera (one of the council members)...enjoying cake and light banter for some time while everyone waited for them to finish. Once cake time was completed, they continued their session on the brutal murder that took place in their city. One of the City Council members involved in this "let us eat cake" moment was Tiawana Brown, who also shares a well-documented and overpowering zeal for baked confections and light refreshments. Brown was indicted by a grand jury back in May of this year for stealing over $124,000 in COVID funds which (among other crimes) involved Brown spending $15,000...on a birthday party. She still sits on the City Council, despite facing trial. Contributing to the tension is the discovery that the magistrate judge who allowed Decarlos Brown Jr. to be released...owns a halfway house where she makes a profit from criminals being released. From the migrant crisis to internal corruption scandals, the last straw was the discovery that Angela Rayner had not paid property taxes on one of her residences, which totaled roughly £40,000 worth of tax evasion. This rapidly snowballed into a big scandal, especially since she has previously called out the tax-loopholes utilized by other politicians in the past. Caribbean: Yesterday, 2x Venezuelan F-16's conducted an overflight of the US Navy Task Force currently conducting operations in the southern Caribbean Sea. In response to this action, this morning the Pentagon announced the deployment of 10x F-35 fighter aircraft to Puerto Rico. This forward deployment will be conducted to allegedly engage in kinetic targeting of narcotics trafficking platforms, and also to provide more air-to-air targeting capabilities in the region. Analyst Comment: As expected, the situation has escalated. The deployment of F-35s usually points to one possibility...an expansion of the conflict. More specifically, F-35's would not be needed to target simple narco-vessels but would be a satisfactory platform for engaging more substantial threats, such as the F-16's the US sold to the Venezuelan military back in the 1980's. -HomeFront- Washington D.C. - Relations between the US and India have deteriorated somewhat over the past few days, following the trade negotiations that have been ongoing for some time. Earlier this week, China hosted the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, which coincided with a visit by President Vladimir Putin, and Prime Minister Modi. This summit resulted in India re-affirming their desire to strengthen ties with their fellow BRICS partners, instead of growing ties with the United States. This in turn has lead to a worsening of relations with the United States, and the White House taking a more hardball approach to trade negotiations with India. After the display of friendship between India and China, President Trump has floated the idea of blocking American tech companies from outsourcing work to India. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: There is another angle to the deteriorating US/India relations that is worthy of note. Brief scandal erupted on social media yesterday as multiple influential accounts were discovered to be posting suspiciously pro-India content, in response to the White House making statements that relations between the US and India were deteriorating due to India's alignment with China. Grifting on social media is hardly a new or noteworthy concept, nor is the first time within the past few months that this has happened. However in the current era of social media carrying a lot of weight when it comes to national policy, this is something to be aware of. Many people will chastise legacy media for being propaganda outlets, while praising "independent media" as the truth. The White House Press Corps was even modified to add a seat for social media influencer access a few months ago, and after the Binder Scandal it is very clear that this influence can't be ignored. However, in some cases, it turns out that many sources (which have the ear of the President himself) are quite literally being paid secretly by foreign powers, in violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). DUNDEE HATCHET GIRL VINDICATED AS BULGARIAN COUPLE ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Afghanistan: This afternoon the USGS reported the detection of a 5.6M earthquake in the vicinity of Asadabad (a city in the eastern regions recently struck by the earlier earthquakes). Analyst Comment. This marks the third significant earthquake to strike the nation in a week. The recovery from the first major earthquake has continued as the fatality count tops 2,200x (and thousands more missing) over the past few days. No word yet on casualties caused by this most recent earthquake. United Kingdom: The two individuals who were at the center of the recent Dundee "hatchet girl" scandal have been arrested. Two weeks ago, a 14-year-old Scottish girl was arrested on weapons charges following a viral video circulating, which showed the girl brandishing a knife and a hatchet to ward off a migrant who was following her. After two weeks, the migrant (who was threatening and harassing the girls) and another unidentified woman were arrested. -HomeFront- Washington D.C. - Several developments have taken place regarding the Epstein Scandal over the past few days. Roughly 33,000 documents were released by the House Oversight Committee yesterday on a Google Drive account. Most of the files appear to once again be files that were already released, or present significant challenges to comb through. Analyst Comment: More time will be needed to determine exactly what was released in the latest round of Epstein documents. The choice to host these files on a regular consumer-grade Google Drive account instead of a legitimate governmental website is also an interesting decision, since Google Drive (and the backup provided, Dropbox) is not the best platform for sharing tens of thousands of files with millions of people. In short, for anyone interested in the files, what was hosted on Google Drive takes many hours to zip and download, whereas if it were hosted on a government website it would be easily downloadable in just a few minutes. More broadly, this is really just a continuation of the current trend; various agencies and branches of government will continue to re-release the same files over and over again, in hopes that the American people will get exasperated and forget the whole thing. Or perhaps even more to-the-point, to encourage everyone to "not see the forest, for the trees". Enough documentation has *already been* released, and enough rhetoric from the highest office in the land has already been uttered, for the average American to make a decision as to what happened in this case, and what it means for the future of the nation. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: The Dundee case is a good reminder of how the benefit of the doubt often applies only one way. The knee jerk reaction of the police was to believe the Bulgarian man, who was very likely trying to traffic the children...and not the victim's testimony. When it comes to Scottish authorities, a tie goes to the unidentified migrant, so to speak. This will be a point worthy of consideration moving forward and these types of events continue. As a reminder, the effort by all mainstream media sources to paint this girl as the aggressor was significant. Considering how serious the situation is, it is very likely that the girls' initial description of events paints a very dark picture, which is probably what led to the arrests of the adults in this case. Despite the initial details of this case largely being speculative, the wider context of these details is worthy of note for reasons that many people may not be aware of. The girls initially said that the Bulgarian man tried to solicit one of the three girls in the initial group. After the ax-bearing girl defended her younger sister, the Bulgarian woman appeared from a concealed position around the corner of a building, and began physically attacking the group. This prompted the unsheathing of defensive tools, and the subsequent viral video. This telling of events, which is supported by these recent arrests, is a demonstration of very common human trafficking tactics. Child-snatchers often work in pairs, which commonly involves a man and a woman working as a team. Sometimes the woman is used to lull victims into a false sense of security, but in this case the intent may have been to have an accomplice lying in wait, to assist if the initial solicitation failed, which is what happened. If these girls had not been armed and willing to use violence to defend themselves, it is very likely that they never would have been heard from again. Since it is exceptionally surprising that the Bulgarian man and woman identified from this scandal were arrested, the preponderance of evidence that isn't public (whatever that might be) must be overwhelming to indicate that this Bulgarian couple was up to no good, and that all of this prior speculation is probably the truth. This is also evidenced by the extreme privacy that the Bulgarians have been granted...no media group seems to be concerned with even verifying the basic fact of whether the man and woman were a married couple (as initially claimed) or if they were siblings (or if they were both). So far the evidence that has been independently verifiable in the public eye indicates that these girls were almost trafficked by a coordinated kidnapping team, and virtually nobody in a position of authority has expressed any interest in protecting the victims. Prosecuting the true criminals in this case is a good first start. However, this incident is not over yet, as the girls implicated in the initial incident are still facing charges. The Pentagon has stated that the individuals onboard were positively identified as narcotics traffickers. -HomeFront- Mississippi: Details have come to light regarding an incident that took place over the weekend in the town of Oxford. The Oxford Police Department criminally charged the owner of Booth's Barbecue for holding an event at their legally-operated business within the town. The restaurant held a weekend event that resulted in parking issues around the town, and resulted in general congestion due to the large crowds. During the events of the day, one individual produced a firearm and began shooting at another individual, in what is suspected as being a gang dispute. Following this shooting, the owners of the restaurant were cited for "inadequate security" and failing to have a "safety plan", in addition to other charges. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: As a reminder, the verbiage being used to refer to those killed in the strike off the coast of Venezuela reflects the previous efforts to classify Tren de Aragua as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, so all of these individuals are referred to as "terrorists" and not drug traffickers. Contrary to popular belief, this classification does not often result in vibes or essays but rather the application of Rules of Engagement in accordance with the UCMJ and the guidance set forth by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) in Joint Publication 3-60. As far as the paperwork goes, Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro himself is listed as the leader of this "terrorist organization", which is largely contradictory as TdA has opposed Maduro in the past, with most of the gang being rounded up and thrown in Venezuelan prisons. The details of the strike itself are also interesting as it's not very common to see eleven people onboard a vessel that is primarily conducting drug trafficking operations. Nevertheless, the strike itself is mostly tactically irrelevant but serves two very important functions: To send a very strong message to Maduro, and also to gauge public sentiment within the United States to determine if the American people will accept future operations. Here at home, there is always the possibility that this escalation will result in threats within the homeland; the thousands of different gangs, criminal syndicates, and those sympathetic to cartel operations are probably not too pleased with the recent developments in South America. On the other hand, it must be noted that Central American gangs and criminal enterprises have very different motivations than what many may be familiar with from the past 40 years of fighting counterinsurgencies in the Middle East...most nefarious groups in Central and South America are financially-motivated, not ideologically-motivated. It is possible that knee-jerk protests/demonstrations will be the result from protesters, but most of this will not really be relevant when it comes to risk. The real concerns to watch out for are how cartel traffickers respond to this development: some cells/groups may go further underground and lay low for a while, but others may become emboldened and attempt to stand and fight. If larger and more influential cartels/groups decide that fighting back in a more kinetic manner is the option that is in their best interest, the situation may become very kinetic rather quickly.
