The thing I love about #nostr compared to #twitter (only used twitter, but I’m sure the same applies to #facebook, #reddit and #linkedin etc) is that I’m not constantly being bombarded by the current “thing”. All the drama we see on these “socials” is totally fabricated and done for viewership, the more extreme the more it gets pushed.
Adding more to that, you then get a constant commentary from people you’ve never heard of, who don’t give two fucks about anyone except themselves.
THEN to add fuel to the fire, a barrage of comments from an Army of followers that share a combined 1 brain cell who cannot think for themselves. If you say A is good, the comments will be about why you don’t like B. (Replace A and B with any topic and the formula is the same)
With #nostr + #bitcoin, I finally have a way to control what I see, it’s clear to see already how much of a nicer environment we are in and something that will only get better.
I can implement features that benefit me and use clients that have the interest of its users at heart.

On my #bitcoin node,
I currently have it doing the IBD onto my 1TB SSD, on the SSD I also have flashed Zorin OS so I can boot from it.
Is it just because of the IBD that the whole thing feels real sluggish?
Or is it needed to flash Linux onto the PC it’s plugged into and then just have the node on the SSD?
