Bitcoin is changing the world and it's an honour to see it happening in real time. I'm thrilled to have been selected for the 5th @Geyser Grant for Education in Bitcoin Communities and it's a privilege to get to share Bitcoin with my students. I discovered Bitcoin by accident. I'm fortunate that I did not seek out Bitcoin because of life-threatening circumstances, but it's had such a profound impact on my life, changing my perspective on the world and forcing me to think more critically. One of the most significant shifts I experienced was a gradual decrease in selfishness. I'm less concerned about the potential financial gains and more driven by the importance of empowering individuals and building communities. This realization brought me to the Bitcoin community where I have encountered such kind-hearted, passionate, and loving people who will stop at nothing to make the world a better place. The energy from the Bitcoin community is infectious, it lights this fire inside of you to wake up every morning with a mission to help others. If we fix the money, we fix the world. @Svetski wrote, "When the individual changes their behavior for the better, the world changes for the better." Bitcoin has undoubtedly changed my behaviour and I hope to contribute to a better world. I would like to congratulate all of the other Geyser Grant applicants and winners for their efforts to spread Bitcoin to their communities, and a special shoutout to my partners at @My First Bitcoin for pioneering community-led Bitcoin education around the world. A Bitcoin crowdfunding platform where creators raise funds for causes, sell products, manage campaigns, and engage with their community.

We are the Genesis Block of Hong Kong and our Mission is to build a Bitcoin school for students to learn about the history of money and monetary policy, while developing the practical skills around using Bitcoin. Our program includes hands-on activities that allow students to build their own Bitcoin projects using LNbits and BTCPay Server, run a Bitcoin node on Umbrel, set up both Lightning and on-chain wallets, and learn how to send, receive, and verify Bitcoin transactions. With the right tools, we envision a micro circular economy growing at our school with the intention of educating students on how to participate in the larger Bitcoin ecosystem. We have the following initiatives for the coming year: 1. Deliver the My First Bitcoin Diploma Program to 50+ students. 2. Promote Bitcoin usage within our extra-curricular activities program. 3. Use Bitcoin for remittance payments to the Philippines using Pouch. 4. Develop a STEM-focused Bitcoin program. 5. Provide Bitcoin workshops to staff members.
