Let me share my recent album "грустные песни о главном" or "sad songs about the main thing". :blobbi-heart: Story is that in 2024 I got to listen a lot of post punk minimal doomer music and was geniunely inspired by modern post punk scene. I've never played such music before so it was really fun process learning all stylistic elements and when it came to lyrics it was actually very easy to write songs. As as kid I listened a lot soviet / perestroika period tunes so all I needed is just to tap into that nostalgia. :aim-tongue: Songs themselves are recollection of my memories about first love and those old feelings I had as a teenager. For me personally covid and wars changed and reshuffled a lot in my life so these tunes are also my nostalgia about 2010-s in general. Writing this album I've somehow managed to reintegrate my past and my presenet so I feel whole even though lyrics on this record a sad. :aim-innocent: I loved recording guitars and vocals cause I just had to express what I already had so it was reallly freeing experience. It's also probably the first time I didn't really care about what anyone would say about my lyrics and music so I just experimented as much as I can. I enjoy learning new music styles as you get to see how guitars and drums and synths are coming together in layers. :aim-cool: In any case, have a listent and let me know what you think! Another song I’d like to present called «ледники» or “icebergs” 🧊🧊🧊 It’s about global warming, people going crazy and revelation that we are on our own in this world. It’s kind of polarazing subject for me cause on one hand I like human progress but on other hand I don't like bad actors. Care about nature and it will care about you. 🏞️🏞️🏞️ This song is more punk than post-punk with rap verses, sing along chorus and overdriven guitars. I’d like to do more of this style and I can record such songs in a day if I’m feeling inspired. 🧷🧷🧷 Side note: I record, mix and master everything myself. Time to tell a little story about song called "снег" or "snow" in English. 🏔️ Lyrics of this song are about someone being rejected by a girl so they walk around town. It's autumn time and snow starts to fall on the ground. Kind of sad story really. :aim-crying: It was one of my first tries to record post-punk. It features detached but emotional vocals mixed with melodics guitars and dance beat on drums with some claps. :aim-cool: This song was fairly popular (by my indie musician standards) on Souncloud and even been added to their global charts for a day so I got ~4k listens. At the same it came as trigger for me to find V4V music cause Soundcloud didn't allow me to withdraw the money I earned from streams. :aim-yelling: So let's say this song is about being rejected by big platforms and moving on with your life to decentralised future. :aim-smiling:
